SCAR underachieved this year by losing to UGA in Athens and UT in Knoxville

To be fair, the version of UGA that SC played in week 2 is likely the best team yall faced all year, if not then 2nd.

Oh, no doubt and there was no shame in losing to your Dawgs at full strength. But it was still a disappointing loss for the SCAR program ... even if SCAR was/is the youngest NCAA D1 football team in America with only four scholarship players on the roster.

Back to the three 11 win seasons in a row ... has anyone else done it other than SoCal, Bama and Boise State? If so, I cannot think of who it might be.

I'm surprised LSU is favored by that much honestly. We're starting a true freshman at QB who has played all of 5 minutes. Yeah, he looked good during that time but playing for 60 minutes is totally different.

From what I've read about Iowa also, their power run game matches up well against our defense. It will be interesting.

Agreed. UGA at that point was a fine offense, no doubt. And that offense wreaked havoc on USC's young linebackers and new d-line schemes; that's why you saw the linebackers coach and the d-line coach get into it on the sidelines. Too much new blood/strategy. Shaw's fumble, Bruce's sun-blindness, and the inability to punch it in on 4th and goal from the one likely cost USC the game. Happens. But for a young team to be essentially three plays away from knocking off a very good UGA team at home is certainly nothing to be ashamed of. However, I'd like to think USC is past the point of moral victories now (which is why it's a good thing people are pissed that we weren't in Atlanta/New Orleans this year).

South Carolina had a lot of growing up to do this season, and I think they handled it really as well as could reasonably be expected. They had a huge hiccup in Knoxville, but they rebounded well down the stretch and posted some big wins against Mizzou and Clemson. I think it bodes well for them going into next season, IF they can really fortify and put Wisconsin away.

I like that Carolina are underdogs. Doesn't let them get a big head.

Ole Miss (-3) vs. Georgia Tech

I hate to say it, but this one worries me. Ole Miss should beat GT easily, but I fear they'll have trouble with that offense. I'm taking Ole Miss to win 35-28

Mississippi State (-7) vs. Rice

State should win, you'd think, but Rice sort of stuck around with A&M. I'll take State 28-24

Texas A&M (-12) vs. Duke

A&M 56 Duke 27

Georgia (-9) vs. Nebraska

Georgia 35 Nebraska 24

LSU (-7.5) vs. Iowa

LSU 38 Iowa 14

quote:

Wisconsin (-2.5) vs. South Carolina

Gonna be a fun game if you like to see teams run the football. Gamecocks 34 Badgers 31

Alabama (-15) vs. Oklahoma

Not ready to make a real prediction yet.

Missouri (-1.5) vs. Oklahoma State

Zou 42 Cowboys 38

Vanderbilt (-3) vs. Houston

Vandy sends Jordan Matthews out right, they win 35-34

FSU (-9) vs. Auburn – Over/Under 65

Not ready to make a real prediction yet, but I'll take the under.

Took AU for $500 at -8 and again on the moneyline to win straight up at +230 last night.

A&M -12 1/2 against Duke is like stealing! Are JFF and Evans gonna boycott the game?
