So what you're saying is it's better to tip the ball than intercept it?

In that same game you reference a LSU DB intercepted an underthrown ball and reff flagged a second DB that was defending auburn receiver.

DB made pick about three or four yards in front of receiver and second DB. No way auburn receiver was going to get back to ball. Yet int was waved off and interference was called against LSU.

So maybe DB should have just knocked it down at least it would have been an incompletion and no automatic first down.

This play happened after the play you reference.

The four steps out of bounds by Fla not reviewed made no sense, so what's the reasoning?

Hey Coach!
Best time to complain about officials is after a win...proves no sour grapes.
I do understand your point that "some fan bases" will continue blaming officiating for losing....
But....the officiating in LSU/Florida was beyond horrendous.
It's hard to believe even SEC refs can be that bad!
This is what leads to conspiracy theories
You're right. There did appear to be some poor calls (or non-calls) in that game.

Shocker, the bama fan has forgotten what it feels like to get a bad call. Whats it been a decade since bama has been on the wrong side of a controversial penalty?
Not really. Our games aren't usually close enough to be decided by a ref call.

In my view, if the ball can't be caught, due to being tipped, being thrown far beyond a receiver, etc..the interference is totally irrelevant. The other play that you are talking about seems the same. We have enough penalties without calling them when it literally has nothing to do with the game. For example....Mt Cody a few years back when he blocked the FG attempt by Tennessee then, while the ball was still live, took his helmet off in celebration..by rule, he should have been flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct...although I wish Tenn would have won, I'm glad they didn't throw the flag...because his penalty didn't affect the game at all. It's chickenshit to feel otherwise knowing that when the shoe is on the other foot, you will feel right opposite.

Most SEC refs., are Saban ball suckers. No wonder Bama likes them so.

IMO, the refs typically call it for the home team unless one team has a chance to make a big bowl. In this scenario, they would favor Auburn.

However, if LSU hadn't lost to Troy and miss st, LSU would be favored. So there is nothing to complain about. It's LSU's fault for putting themselves in this position.

The other scenario would be if they are trying to keep the game close so people will keep watching. Then that will favor LSU!

The SEC REC is are least dumb fricks if they aren't corrupt.

Go look at the 4-step again. There were 2 refs that could easily see that play. Hell, one of them literally got out the way for him to keep going. Either they wanted him to get more yards, or they are so incompetent they shouldn't see a college-level field ever again.

I don't care how it happens, give us better damn refs because every single SEC game is plagued with this terrible officiating garbage, not just the LSU games.

They are either betting games themselves or TRYING to help the bookies get what they need.

It's more than obvious they are more corrupt than incompetent.

Birmingham will always go with the team from Alabama.

The gumps and the gump juniors are one in the same - the SEC office is rooting for both to be successful.

Biggest crock I've ever read on here. Has absolutely NOTHING to do with teams from Alabama benefiting from bad / blown calls.

Both Auburn and Alabama have had horrendous calls go against them. This has to do with gambling corrupting the refs. Open your eyes.
