I was a high school student in Arizona and I went to that game. Herb Tyler and Kevin Faulk killed Florida.

That was the high point of the Dinardo years, and those years were awful.

games I have seen live, in person that have involved the SEC:

1999 Independence Bowl: Ole Miss over OU with last second field goal

2002 Cotton Bowl: OU over Arkansas in one of most boring games I have ever seen combined with the rain and cold.

2002 Oklahoma over Alabama in Norman: OU was up 23-3 before Bama stormed back to have a 27-23 lead mid 4th quarter; a miraculous run by Renaldo Works propelled OU to an eventual score and win.

2003 Oklahoma over Alabama in Tuscaloosa: easily the best regular season college football atmosphere I have ever enjoyed. Game was tight until the very end. Fake punt and long bomb eventually gave OU some breathing room.

2004 Sugar Bowl: despite OU limping in to the game, they had their chances vs. LSU. Still had a fun experience, and the Sabanator was born :(

2010 Alabama over Arkansas in Fayetteville. First time to Dickson Street. So much to do there, and I can still remember begging for mercy after the hot wings from Hog Haus. Bama came in at #1. Arkansas was up 20-7 midway 3rd, but Bama came back to suck the life out of the home crowd en route to a 24-20 win.

2011 Arkansas over Tennessee in Fayetteville. Arkansas was just too much to handle for the Vols. Had a blast as usual in my visit to Dickson Street.

2012 Cowboys Classic: Alabama dominating Michigan. UM fans were so confident and cocky. It was rather funny. They thought me, and OU fan there, was weird. Hell, can't miss a chance to see Alabama when they are only 3 hours away.

2013 Cotton Bowl: Texas A&M over Oklahoma. Damn that freakin Manziel!

My dad was an LSU season Ticket holder in the 50-60s so I went with him to lots of LSU games againt teams like rice, staring in 1961. The Ole Miss tickets were pure gold back then as that was the game. As I got a little older I got to go with him to bigger games and my first big time was LSU Florida 1966! Spurrier ran and threw like a mad man that night. Absolutely unstoppable! Wait, I think Spurrier just threw another TD pass!

97 Egg Bowl in Starkville. Stewart Patridge led an amazing comeback. Won on a 2 PT conversion. I decided that night that I loved OM and hated cowbells.

Haven't been back to Davis-Wade since

was there for that game, will never forget how frustrated my dad was. he leaned over to me when they scored and said "they're bout to go for 2 and get it". ofc that mentality is ingrained into that era of fan. he can hardly enjoy a game for the sake of imagining ways we find to lose it

there was even an intentional grounding on that drive and OM converted a long arse 3rd or 4th. as a young kid I was in shock and awe. Cory Peterson caught the pass right in middle of the end zone - he was a nightmare.

1991 with neighbors and their kids vs Alabama on the road. Lost to an 11-1 Alabama team 13-7. My ears were ringing after that game but I was hooked.

This will tell my age...

Our HS team went to see UK play in new Commonwealth Stadium in 1974 or 75. Muhammad Ali was there. Fran Curci was the coach of UK and they were competing for the SEC Championship back then.

Yep! My first game was The Third Saturday in October 1953. First date also. Nobody scored that day. It was a 0-0 tie.

Unfortunately the first SEC game I ever went too as a kid was the Iron Bowl in 2001. My dad could only buy single tickets in separate places so we stood in one of the ramps & watched AU get killed...

Side note my dad way underestimated the going price for tickets that game and spent all cash we had on scalpers. So we were super hungry & it turned out Bob Riley was there campaigning giving out free hot dogs. He earned my dad's vote that day

I saw a LSU UF game in tiger Stadium very early in the 70's LSU won so i think it was 73? round that time, brother was in the band.

I remember selling cokes in the stands more than my first game. did that for 2-3 seasons, didn't care about how much money I'd make, it was more about being in the stadium. We'd get in the stadium way before fans could and kinda had the run of the place for a hour or so

different times back then, doubt any of the stuff we got away with is done anymore

1988, my Junior year in high school went to see Ole Miss vs Florida in Jackson. Good game as UF was up 21-15 midway through the 4th, but they scored late to put it away. Some good players in that game: Trace Armstrong, Huey Richardson, Louis Oliver, Wesley Walls, Tony"Gator"Bennett, Kelvin Pritchett, and a guy named Emmitt Smith all became 1st or 2nd round (only Wesley Walls)picks.

I'm jealous! Art Still..Derrick Ramsey.... Good stuff!

My first memory is of a mid - late 80's game v LSU at Commonwealth. A cold rainy November game v Vandy also comes to mind. Couldn't tell ya which was actually earlier.

Bama at UF in Gainesville, 10/13/1973. Stayed at the same hotel as the team and met Coach Bryant as a 7 year old.

1992. My parents took me to games in 79 and the 80s but I don't remember much of them. I was born in Tuscaloosa during a Bama GT game. The old man was a team doctor before we moved to south AL.
