Alabama has reached a level of dominance that has been seen by no other team in CFB History. Today we look at the last time each team defeated Alabama.

Auburn 11/25/17

Alabama had not lost a conference game in nearly two years. But that all changed when Auburn exposed how depleted Alabama was in November after several close games with LSU and Mississippi State. This game was the beginning of the end of Jalen Hurts. Auburn would go on to get humiliated by Georgia and allow UCF to claim their fake trophy.

Ole Miss 9/19/15

Following this game, every sports writer chimed in to claim that Alabama was done. The Dynasty is dead. Here is an article dedicated to the smartest writers in the world: LINK

But on a serious note, Saban starting Cooper Barrett was one of the most mind boggling and worst decisions of his coaching tenure. With that being said Ole Miss had some incredible plays in this game to win. Ole Miss would continue that trend of being apart of incredible plays that season as they would end up losing to Memphis and Arkansas to allow Alabama to reach the SEC Title Game for the 2nd straight year.

Texas A&M 11/10/12

Johnny Manziel won the Heisman Trophy on this day in Tuscaloosa. A sleepy Alabama crowd coming off of a big victory at Texas A&M did not expect a big fight. A&M showed Alabama what a huge mistake that was. Texas A&M went on to absolutely embarrass Oklahoma in the Cotton Bowl while Alabama went on to embarrass Notre Dame in Miami.

LSU 11/5/11

The Game of the Century as they called it. #1 LSU defeated #2 Alabama in Tuscaloosa en route to an undefeated regular season and a SEC Championship over Georgia that featured our favorite the Honey Badger. Alabama would go on to win the National Championship in New Orleans.

South Carolina 10/9/10

Alabama had not lost since the 2008 Sugar Bowl to Utah. That changed when Steve Spurrier and Stephen Garcia put up one of the most memorable performances in recent memory. Garcia threw for 3 TDs and Jeffery caught two of those to seal the victory. South Carolina would go on to lose the SEC Championship Game to Auburn, Alabama would lose to LSU and Auburn before destroying Michigan State in Orlando.

Florida 12/6/08

#1 Alabama vs #2 Florida. One of the best SEC Championship matchups ever(arguably both 2008 and 2009 were the National Championship Games) and Tim Tebow put on a masterful performance with 3 TDS en route to a Florida National Championship. Alabama would go on to lose to Utah in the Sugar Bowl after an undefeated regular season.

Mississippi State 11/10/07

Nick Saban's first season at Alabama was starting off strong. 6-3 and they were looking at a real possibility at 8-4. But what stood in Saban's way? Why yes that would be Sylvester Croom, former Alabama Player who valued the Alabama game more than any on the schedule due to the Mike Shula fiasco. Alabama would go on to win the Independence Bowl over Colorado while Mississippi State would go on to defeat UCF in the Liberty Bowl(see Auburn, even Croom defeated UCF).

Georgia 9/22/07

Mark Richt extended his record to 3-0 vs Alabama following Georgia's OT Victory in Tuscaloosa. Georgia would go on to win 11 games including a Sugar Bowl Victory over Hawaii.

Tennessee 10/21/06

Remember when Tennessee was relevant and Alabama wasn't? Man it's been so long, I almost forgot Tennessee used to act more like Alabama than they acted like Vanderbilt. Who knows if they will ever act like the former again, but on this date, they capped off a pretty solid 9 win season with this win over Alabama and Mike Shula. Little did Tennessee realize that they needed to savor this moment for 12 + years.

Arkansas 9/23/06

Leigh Tiffin would miss a FG at the end of regulation and an XP in OT to help give Arkansas the 23-17 victory in Fayetteville. Arkansas had only lost to Southern California at home and would go on to win 10 games in a row before Arkansas Head Coach Houston Nutt would lost to LSU, Florida in the SEC Title Game, and Wisconsin in the Citrus Bowl.

Kentucky 10/04/1997

Kentucky came into the game with a 2-2 record following losses to Mississippi State and Florida. It had been 75 years since Alabama had lost to Kentucky. But 1st year Head Coach Hal Mummee and 1st year Offensive Coordinator Mike Leach were able to pull off the win over Alabama at home in OT. Alabama would only win 4 games in 1997 under Mike Dubose and lose to Louisiana Tech.

11/15/1984 Georgia Tech

I did not plan on doing former SEC Members, but this was something I could not pass up on it since a former SEC Team has defeated Alabama more recently than 2 Current SEC Schools. A few things I have to say, I have never seen these uniforms Alabama, All White with all white helmets? That is pretty slick. This is also the last meeting that Alabama and Georgia Tech have played in. Which is quite surprising. Big win for 5th year head coach Bill Curry before he would go on to become the Alabama Head Football Coach.

Vanderbilt 9/29/1984

(Wait a minute, B&W Photos now? My God).

Yes Indeed it appears the last time Vanderbilt defeated Alabama in football, color photography was not quite as prevelant in college football. Ray Perkins was the 2nd year head football coach for Alabama and things took a turn for the worst when he lost this home game to Vanderbilt as Alabama only won 4 games this season. Head Coach George MacIntyre of the Vanderbilt Commodores started the season 4-0 with this victory but he would end up only winning one more game the entire season which was against Ole Miss. But since this would be Vanderbilt's last victory over Alabama in nearly 40 years, this win over even a mediocre Alabama team was worth celebrating.

Missouri 9/8/1975

(OMG This Photo QUality is even worse)

Bear Bryant was in his 18th season at Alabama the last time Alabama lost to Missouri. It was a "home game" in Birmingham Alabama where Bama played a lot of their games at the time. It would end up being Alabama's only loss of the season in which they finished the season with a Sugar Bowl victory over Penn State. Meanwhile, Missouri would go 6-5 on the season.

Tulane 11/7/1958

(I cannot find a picture of this game so that is how long ago...)

This was Bear Bryant's first season as the head coach of Alabama. This game was played at Tulane Stadium which is where the Sugar Bowl used to be held and a few Super Bowls were held here before the Louisiana Superdome was built. As an annual SEC Opponent, Alabama went to Tulane in what the Alabama archives describe as a "night game", which gave 5th year head football coach Andy Pilney his 3rd win in his last 4 games over Alabama. Tulane would only win 3 games in 1958 while Alabama would win 5 and a tie vs Vanderbilt.

Sewanee 10/21/1921

(1921 Alabama Football Team)

Sewanee did tie Alabama in 1922 so technically this is not the last time Sewanee did not lose to Alabama but it is the last time they defeated Alabama in a 17-0 shutout in Rickwood Field in Birmingham Alabama(wow did not know this was once used by the Alabama Football team). Alabama was under 3rd year head coach Xen C. Scott and both teams were members of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association.(Changed to Southern Conference in 1922) Sewanee was led by John P. Nicholson and they would go 6-2 with both losses being to Tennessee and Vanderbilt. Alabama went 5-4-2 with the only win over a current FBS program being Tulane. Sewannee today is in Division 3 in the Southern Athletic Association(which was established in 2011 and has 0 involvement with the Southern Conference which is currently a FCS conference).

Auburn would be near the top if you used 2007, not just 2010, 2013 and 2017.

That’s sad for the rest of the SEC.

So ... the Gamecocks beat them the last time we were allowed to play them, amirite?

That's all we can ask for.

... and to beat them the next time we play them, whenever that may be.

It's ridiculous how long we all must wait inbetween playing other programs within the conference.

Yeah I agree. I'd love to play SC more often. I guess I should be glad we played you more recently than say Alabama has... And it has been ages since we've traveled to Vanderbilt....

We'll be ready.

Y'all are coming to The Cock Pit right?

I know we open in Charlotte against UNC in 2019 so we'll be playing one of the tougher schedules in the country next year.

Not true at all.

But Mississippi did lose by 63 points. So they’ve got that.

What's funny is that the last four Alabama lost (Auburn 17, Ole Miss 15, Tex A&M 12 & LSU 11) didn't matter, because Bama went on to win the national championship for every one of those seasons.
