Answer how every other team involved in the state of Florida managed to play a game?

The Central Florida game WAS postponed until November 5 and the Miami-Florida State game wasn't impacted because the hurricane completely missed south Florida.

quote:

How did ND play a game in North Carolina during the same storm?

North Carolina had more time to observe the storm and prepare for it. Florida did not have the same luxury as they are a few hundred miles further to the south. And at the time the decision was made, it was still a Category 4 storm. It had weakened considerably by the time it impacted the Carolinas.

quote:

Why could the game not be played on Sunday or Monday?

At the time the decision was made they had no idea just what kind of impact the storm would have in the surrounding areas. You can't very well have a game when all of your police and fire department personnel are off doing recovery operations.

Don't get me wrong. I think it was petty to release the emails.

It was really unnecessary right? We all know that UF was using the situation to their advantage. Or at least that's what I thought.

The other side of this story is that as soon as it was revealed that both teams would be removed from the SEC race, Florida decided they would play anywhere, any time.

Yeah. Let's laugh at a potential devastating storm that could have really effed up the Florida coast and the surrounding communities near Gainesville. Fortunately the storm whimpered out. As a LSU fan you should be able to sympathize with that thought, seeing as a certain storm that shan't be named didn't weaken enough before making landfall a few years back.

You mean Rita?

LSU played on Monday....

It's the same number of times the Aggies have beaten LSU recently

He doesn't want to have an actual conversation. He's flat out ignored every objective post I've made refuting his point of view.

The game could have been played Sunday or Monday any other argument is just trolling and showing your agenda to discredit all things LSU. LSU stated over and over they would play over there on those days. So where is your answer to that my friend what excuse can you give since your are knighting for the gators? Let's just ignore those facts right they don't matter I guess.

Remember when LSU played a home game in Arizona?

Let's not act like Sun Devil Stadium is one of the most difficult stadiums in the country to play in. It seated 71,000 people in 2005. That's smaller than most SEC stadiums both then and now.

That you lost. That hardly sets a good precedent for the host team, now does it?

So you agree they ducked LSU. See, we're arguing the same point.

Look bad to who the USA Today, other fanbases? Last I checked LSU wrote Alleva's check. Same as Foley and Florida. All parties were acting in their constituents best interest and continue to do so.

If Sankey was any where as close to being as competent as Slive, this wouldn't have been an issue.

I'd say Florida got a pretty sweet deal out of it comparing it to historical reference. LSU still lost a game off the schedule and only gained an SEC home game. Florida got the next two years in the swamp. Pretty fair deal considering.

Or LSU could just take on all the losses, cancel our home game, and played like nice little boys. Despite being the only party who actively tried to find contingencies.

Let's not act like LSU would have had 71k there.

Also, that isn't a good reason. I thought it was because of the devastation of the storm?

Ah, so they were scared.

Don't be stupid. Was "LSU fans have some valid points" beyond your comprehension ability? Apparently. I only weighed in on your utterly foolish point about the ND game.

So once again...try to be find a couple of brain cells to rub together and convince us why it was a good idea to play the Notre Dame game. Try to muster up some intelligence.

Maybe this is why I haven't been answering your "objective" posts because they seem to be devoid of rational thought.

Florida was trying to keep the game in Gainesville but were unsure of keeping the game scheduled that weekend due to the unpredictability of the storm. They had no idea how powerful it would be or what sort of impact it would make on the surrounding communities.

In hindsight they could have kept the game scheduled for Saturday and everything would have been fine.
