I think you listen and respect that 24 year old when he’s done what he’s done this year.

I mean you definitely consider it, I’m not denying that. Look I don’t care if he throws 200 pitches in a weekend, whether or not he has an arm tomorrow literally doesn’t impact me.

That being said, no college pitcher has ever came into the dugout in a big situation and said hey coach, pull me, I’m gassed. Literally everyone of them is saying let me go back out there. So yeah, you consider how he feels, you also consider the pitch count and that he’s jacked up on Mountain Dew.

Dudes a warrior, without a doubt. But everyone is until they aren’t, injuries aren’t a problem unless they happen. Ultimately it’s the coaches who have to make the call, because the pitcher simply isn’t ever going to make the right decision and say when he should stop.

Waiting for the pitcher to tell you he’s done is like a manager waiting on the boxer to throw the towel.

Kopps ain't a college pitcher, he is pitching on a pro level and his pitch count is increasing while showing no sign of fatigue.

He should be in the pros and it is unfair to his college competition.

15 innings and 170+ pitches in one weekend. That’s criminal. The kid is awesome but shame on a coach who doesn’t protect his pitcher.

Nolan Ryan threw 235 pitches in a game once and had a long career. He’ll be fine. He hardly ever throws a fastball.

Would you want to be the coach that pulled Kopps especially considering he insisted on going?

No troll. It’s a scientific fact that throwing while fatigued raises the chances of injury exponentially. If I was that kids dad I would kidnap him and hide him until the CWS was over.

Doctor Strangelove

Your concern is noted. Also, nobody cares.

Also, your name sent me to YouTube to listen to Strangelove by Depeche Mode.

I wish someone would kidnap you and throw you in the Mississippi River.

He obviously doesn’t get fatigued as easily as other pitchers. He’s the best athlete on the team and in amazing physical shape…because he’s older and more developed than every other college player.

Eh, that really isn't true

Should a coach solely rely on what the pitcher is telling them? No because there are some that would never ask to be taken out but there are plenty of pitchers that have no problem telling the coach they are done or don't have it anymore.

I love that goal post move after he realized he was wrong. Kind of proves this is all show.

Labas threw 123 yesterday for LSU. Is that a problem?

Listen to the interview. He said he never felt fatigued and actually felt stronger as the game went on

he is.... TJ surgery earlier... Worked on dynamics and pitching motion to solidify the thing... his main pitch. It works without using so much of his mechanics in a negative way. Dude is incredible... but carry on!
