And what? UGA fired Richt to get Kirby Smart before he came to South Carolina. He wasn't going to turn down his alma mater. And even if we had hired Tom Herman, we'd be looking for a coach right now, as he'd said coaching at UT-Austin was his dream job.
I'm the biggest critic of Ray Tanner you'll find, but he brought in Muschamp on the cheap knowing that if things didn't work out, at least the cupboard wouldn't be bare for the next coach like it was when Spurrier quit.

You seem like a reasonable fellow unlike the OP that was taking pot-shots...I do like that they got away from going the "Legends"...Coaches at the end of their career is at best a short-term fix.
I think UGA will regret firing Richt. Miami is going to get very good very fast.
I think you would have been better off keep the interim guy one more year...You could have had a guy like Charlie Strong or Chip Kelly if your are going to go really cheap.
Muschamp will be fine, but won't get you to the highest level
