Running ability for a QB has gotta be the most overrated attribute across all of football right now.

Everyone fricking drools over these QBs that can run, and everyone talks about their POTENTIAL. Like if we can just teach the guy to pass, he's gonna be amazing.
Too bad they never really get any better. They are what they are.

I'm watching this new crop of "dual-threat" rookie QBs in the preseason that these teams spent untold millions on, and they all suck. They're throwing terrible picks, they're panicking. Nothing downfield.
And guess what? Their "elite, unbelievable athleticism" amounts to jack shite. They can't even pick up 4 yards with their legs on a 3rd down.
All that drooling over combine stats, and these incredible athletes still can't throw the ball, still can't process defenses, and their vaunted running ability gets them about 3-4 yards at best.

Can somebody make this all make sense to me, because it's not adding up. Seems like half the NFL just has QBs now that can't throw to save their life, but can run around and do nothing.
It's probably got a lot to do with why viewership is plummeting. It's just more entertaining to watch QBs that can pass the ball.

It's preseason week 1 and most of these guys first live pro action of their lives. Perhaps chill?

Richardson is a joke of a pick though. He sucks.

I knew several Barn grads during the Craig and Campbell years, it was literally hard for them to pull for their alma mater. Barn racists projecting once again

One year of Lincoln Riley and a couple years of NFL coaching made Jalen Hurts very good.

There’s a difference between mobile qbs today than there was back in the day. The ones today are more protected by rules than they used to be so they have a better chance of not getting injured.

But if they can’t throw the ball effectively and make good decisions then who needs them.

Give me a talented competitor of any type, it’s between the ears.

Viewership is plummeting?

This guy thinks it’s still 2017

This was a terrible crop of rookie QBs aside from Bryce Young. I don’t know what you expected. Teams are desperate. Colts tried going the vet route (Rivers, Wentz, Ryan) and that didn’t work out so they drafted a guy with measurables and potential to develop

Titans still had a solid QB in Tannehill, but they also aren’t content with him and are trying to see if one of Levis or Willis can eventually take his job

That Manziel / BryceYoung backyard asshatery rarely translates to the NFL.

Dual threat QB’s are what gives the Gumps the most pronlems. Cam Newton, Joe Burrow, Johnny Manziel all say hello. Burrow is not really a dual threat, but he ran all over you guys.

You full of crap. Both are revered in Auburn. Nice try!
