FSU goes into Alabama for another one. WTF schools from Alabama, lock your fricking state down.

I don't always agree with Saban's recruiting philosophy when it comes to in-state kids, but who am I to argue with it. Saban doesn't seem to care where the prospect is from, if he grades out higher in evaluation and camp performance.

Only a couple of spots left for the DL in 2012, so I wish Shanks would have waited. Eddie Goldman is long shot, so Shanks could have been in this class. Oh, well. Plenty of great ones still out there.

Then maybe some of your LSU brethren should use the same advice on Luther Davis.

That's different. Luther Davis lied and had his scholarship revoked.

His lifestyle hasnt changed much at LSU from what Ive heard, but he is working his arse off to be the best football player he can be and is currently 2nd string at FS behind Craig Loston

Gibson was a terrible high school qb and when they moved him around he was still mediocre. No doubt a guy with his size and athletic ability could blossom into a + safety, we'll see, but I would think the learning curve would be pretty steep for him compared to more polished guys like Loston and Reid, but Cooper obviously knows what he is doing and Sam will be under some very good tutelage. Props to the guy for getting an sec scholly and making the most of it so far.

He was listed as a WR last year fwiw. He is a great athlete that may have found his home at S.

Last time I looked Gibson never had a Bama offer. Davis at one point had an LSU offer.

I don't get what you are saying...

Have some referred to Luther as a thug?

LSU fans continue to bitch about him four years later. And you just stated that you "can't stand when people use past lives as a way of determining the intelligence and attitude a player will reveal on the field and in the future".

More than I should've considering my connection to the athletic dept.

Pathetic thing was, there were certain individuals there who should never been seen in the same place as players.
