I'll be in downtown BR tonight, any suggestions for good bar/grill with good Cajun food and beer selections in the downtown area?

Stroubes is a great restaurant, but I can't think of any good cajun places downtown
eta: and tsunami for great sushi and a surprisingly nice view

Great suggestion. I'm not sure how dead set he is on staying strictly within downtown though

Parrains - Black and Bleu Tuna

Parrain's. Then Duvic's. Then Ivars. Then Zippy's for the 2:30am burrito you'll be craving.

If your looking for some downhome authentic Cajun and youre willing to drive a tad. From downtown head down river road about 15mins to Robertos River Road Restaurant. You might pull up and go where the frick are we but dont be fooled its a really nice spot.

Yeah, if beer selection and cajun food are of utmost concern , Chimes is the actual no brainer.
Here's the beer list for the Chimes

eta: Actually I like the idea of parrain's and then bar hopping under the overpass down perkins. lots of good bars and good food around there
