Don't compare UK Bball to BAMA Football that's dumb.

Yeah UK is the Big dawg in BBall history... but can you see UK football have the success in the SEC as BAMA has of late in basketball.. NO ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Football is 10 times bigger than Bball...
So when it comes to whether Oats would leave Bama Bball for the Big name UK Bball program is not the same as a coach leaving his Fball program to be at the great BAMA program.
One is a Castle in Wessex, the other is a mansion in Hollywood hills.
Nate Oats tenure at Bama has been better than Cals at UK since he's been here. He can get the recruits, the tough non con games... and win them regularly, he can get an overall 1 seed and be the #1 team in the country right here at BAMA. just to be the coach at UK isn't what many of you think it is.. 1996, 1998 and 2012... 12 years since their last championship.. and since apparently SEC titles don't count much.. UK is definitely losing it's luster.
Oats is making his name at BAMA and will be a legend before he's done and there's nothing he can't do at BAMA that's any easier to do at UK, especially this day and age. So say what you will but UK bball ain't nothing like BAMA football.. oh yeah.. IMHO.

His system is NBA.
I would think some NBA teams would make him an offer..
He’s a great coach.
Bama is probably a top 15ish program historically.
Kentucky, Kansas, Duke, UNC are programs people would leave an Alabama for most of the time.

Bama will never put forth the needed resources to keep a coach that is wanted by one of the bluebloods or the NBA. It's sad because we could. If we were devoted to basketball, we would have been in a new arena 5 years ago.
