TCU is about on par with Arkansas, just their defense isn't quite as good.

TCU's loss to Baylor is a better loss than tOSU's loss. That's the difference. Arky may be on par with them but with the committee prefering to ignore SoS (except when they don't) and elevate the importance of conference diversity in the playoffs, TCU has just as strong a case as tOSU and a 'better' loss. **The whole conference champion thing is weird with the playoff rules - they do have provisions to take non-conference champs.

Most definitely. TCU could beat anyone. We need 8 team playoff next year. Congrats to TCU.

And the outcome of today's game is moot. Baylor would have been the 4th team in, not TCU.

I PERSONALLY BELIVE THAT IF THEY PLAYED TODAY TCU WOULD SMOKE BAYLOR.

ETA sorry about all caps but I'm not re typing.

Y u so salty.

The point was no one looked at Ole Miss as the pinnacle of the SEC as the season went on, as far as the people in the SEC. So beating Ole Miss by however much isn't all that impressive when you just got a similar buttfricking to an unranked team.

But if beating Alabama will make you feel better, go ahead and milk it away because that is truly the only good thing about this season for Ole Miss after that beatdown of epic proportions.

It will make the SEC look alot worse if Bama doesn't win it all now. Especially if they lose to OSU.

IMO yes it does tarnish the "playoff," and hopefully it speeds up the move to 8 teams.

The 5 major conference champions.

The 3 next highest ranked teams.

If a non-major conference team is ranked above a conference champion, that team automatically gets one of the 3 at-large bids.

As for TCU this year, they should have never been #3. That's the only real travesty here. If any team from the Big Bevo has a complaint it's Baylor. They got hung out by the committee, by the AP, by the coaches, and by their own conference brass.

All the people screaming for a 8 team playoff can't seem to understand the more teams you add the worse it gets. There would be 3 or 4 teams claiming they should have been in this year and even more people pushing for another change. A 16 team one would be even worse.

You would already have UGA claiming they got screwed by them letting OM in.

They weren't 9-3 when we played them and they still had some weapons on offense. This team was a shell of the team bama played.

Good lord, Alabama lost to Ole Miss nearly 3 whole months ago. A lot has changed since then. Why don't people see this?

6 team playoff for the win. Top 2 teams get a bye.

tOSU doesn't deserve to be in over TCU. The only reason they are in is because of the power of their brand and fanbase which is substantially larger than TCU's.

Yes. The fix was in. It was all about handpicking, name brands from as many conferences as possible.

Everyone gets a cookie.

None of this shite matters. This is the system ESPN wanted and this is what it Is. TCU or whomever can't say shite. The Computers were destroyed and a committee of people decide who plays in the "finally, a true football play off to crown the outright championship". The commercials say "you wanted it, here it is". I personally dgaf what TCU says, they weren't in. They have no claim. I did say however in the beginning that the 4 team play off would not settle shite. 5-6 will have a gripe, top 8? 9 and 10 will gripe. To make matter worse, it is left up to people's opinion, the committee consist of people from which half don't know back about football. How is this the "clear way"???

They should have kept the BCS and just put those top 4 in the play off.

The only way this will ever be settled is a 32 team play off. Until then, it will always. Be bitching

No doubt.

I'm impressed with OSU to keep winning with back up QBs, but I think TCU would beat OSU like a baby seal.

Nobody is ever going to be playing for the national championship in the PEACH BOWL

You do realize the peach bowl is one of the playoff bowls that will be used in the rotation right? Peach bowl is one of the big six now.

Does the TCU-Ole Miss game tarnish the playoff outcome?
All it does is prove 4 teams aren't enough for a playoff

I agree. I think the best format would be an 8 team playoff with the #1 and #2 seed rewarded with a buy.

Nobody is ever going to be playing for the national championship in the PEACH BOWL against a 9-3 team. This proves nothing.

Actually the peach will host the national championship. The big 6 on rotation are Rose, Orange, Sugar, Fiesta, Peach and Cotton.
Try and keep up Gump.

Unless the playoff winner dominates in both games, there will always be some question as to whether TCU is the best team in the nation.
