Does Tennessee get blown out this week or do they have another close game?

It's quite amazing how Tennessee keeps having great 2nd halves, but will Alabama completely prevent that from happening this weekend?

Might have to wait until December to see what both teams first string can do to each other. UT is pretty beat up. I know UT has a lot of fight in them, but they'll be playing some third stringers against Bama. It could get ugly.

Blown out. They have to be the most injured team in football. If they were healthy it would be a really good game.

Glad you're still around Phat Phil. You are unlike a lot of your brethren who are disappearing by the second since they're seeing the season slipping away already.

VOLS have not lost a game by double digits since Dobbs became the full time starter midway through the 2014 season fwiw.

But I do believe this one has the potential to get ugly. I think VOLS offense will be able to move the ball on Bama somewhat and score points but I'm not sure how this defense will be able to slow their offense down.

If VOLS defense was anywhere close to full strength, this would be a hell of a game imo

Even with all the Vols injuries they should play this game close. Bama is giving up some yards passing. Going to be along day for that secondary if Dobbs is on his game and holds onto the ball.

Still think Bama wins but this is going to be a closer game.

Which VOLS poster has disappeared iyo? Even if we lose to Alabama Saturday, VOLS should be able to finish 10-2. I would not be upset over that

If UT doesn't win this weekend, they won't make it to Atlanta.

If UT lets us get up 21 in first half then this game will be over. I don't think this Saban team is susceptible to the UT chinese fire comeback drill.

I think Tennessee will play the game of their life and will really feed off the energy of the crowd. That said, they'll still lose.

Alabama - 31
Tennessee - 27

Vols protect the football allowing them to actually start fast.

TN wins on last second FG 38-35.

His "game" is 58.3% completion percentage w/ 8 int's and four fumbles and 14 sacks.

Over/Under Dobbs against Bama:
Int's: 1.5
Fumbles: 1.5
TD's: 2
sacks: 5

It will be a close game. This Tennessee team, even banged up, will compete with anyone in the country. I don't think any team could blow UT out.

Take notes though. This is what a tough team does... it continues competing, regardless of injuries. UT is looking to win Saturday, not a way out.

i see a lot of folks referencing the vols injuries- half of our team was out significant time last year due to broke bones etc. i don't recall anyone giving a shite then.

bama blows them out.

What could possibly make you think Tennessee's D stays on the field with Bama?

You realize Bama's defense is more opportunistic than Texas A&M right?

Let's not forget Va. Tech would have blown the doors off had they not had a handful of fumbles of their own.

Bama by 4 TDs.

Bama rolls.

UT is hurt. And even if they weren't, they are just really inconsistent. They play really well in the 2nd half, but you aren't going to be in a game with Alabama if you have like 7 turnovers and spot them 3 TDs.
