"From my standpoint, the acceptance of this extension represents our commitment - my commitment, our family's commitment - to the University of Alabama for the rest of our career," Saban said after Monday's practice. "We made that decision after the season when other people were interested."

Saban will coach Texas Longhorns on Saturdays and the Cleveland Browns on Sundays.

I believe that he has a deep rooted respect for the football program. When he was at LSU, he even stated one time, he wished that he could have coached against Coach Bryant. Because of his respect for the program, I would be GREATLY surprised if he left before retirement

Yes, BAMA will make him legendary.

He never got this amount of attention at LSU.

Espn loves Bama, Bama loves Saban, Saban loves the process, that process loves commitment, and the committed fans watch Espn.

Its the circle of life.

It took his collective experiences at Toledo, Cleveland, Michigan State, LSU, and Miami to make him the coach he is now. That's not a knock on any of those jobs.

I dont think so. He had built what he wanted built at LSU. LSU's facilities are next to none.

The same can be said for Alabama's football facilities. A new weight room is opening in December and a administration building will be started next year. Aside from the indoor facility, nothing is over 7 years old. Though BDS could use some concourse updates.

You have got to be kidding...he just had the itch to give the NFL a try, if not for that, he would still be at LSU

Both Saban and his wife Terry really liked Baton Rouge. He said multiple times. BR had a lot to offer. Tuscaloosa is a goat ranch. The closest thing you can get to massage in Tuscaloosa is a stray dog licking your toes.

LSU was a stepping stone to the Dolphins.

The Dolphins were a stepping stone to BAMA.

He's reached the pinnacle.

I'm wondering if you've ever been to either city. And before you respond, yes, I have lived in both Tuscaloosa and Baton Rouge. Tuscaloosa is your typical large college town and Baton Rouge is a normal capital city in the South.

You guys are getting to obvious with the improper casting today. Switch to Cajun Line. You might get more bites.

He has 3 NCs. Bryant has 6. NS wants 7.
Any questions?
