LSU#1, USCe#2, ???

Pretty good lists. Maybe have aTm higher but overall good looking report.

I know Ole Miss has I'tavius Mathers coming in, who played for a rival of my old high school. Kid could knock down defenders like bowling balls. Granted that it was against other high schoolers, but he has the potential to be a big threat.

I don't understand how state is ahead of Auburn. McCaleb is better than Perkins and I'd much rather have Mason and Blakely than Griffin and Robinson. Both have proven to be very good

if brandon williams gets his waiver we are top 4 for sure, just not sure how that fits into our new offense though.

Was thinking the same thing. Also how is Mizzou's RB situation. I ask because they are a passing teams so I figured they would be last.

If you look at talent Robinson and Griffin will end up being better they just haven't had their shot to prove it yet.

Agree though on McCaleb being better than Perkins.

Robinson will end up being a beast at RB

McCaleb has done well in the role he's been given while at AU. He has yet to prove himself as an every down back & I don't think he will ever make it being one. He's done well with the reverses, misdirection type runs, where he gets out in space. I don't see OMc being a between the tackles guy. He has a receiver type body playing RB. Is he suppose to be the for sure starter this year?

I think it will be a matter of time (2 to 3 games) before Griffin, Robinson, or even Milton will get the carries over Perkins at RB for State.

Our RBs are under rated IMO.

I'll be the first one to spell McCalebb correctly.

And yes AU should be in front of MSU.

Agreed. And for two reasons. First, when you have no passing game to speak of it makes it hard to develop any kind of running game (I think that improves a bit this season). Second, half of our backs were injured last season.

If everyone's healthy and we can develop enough of a passing game to keep defenses out of the box we'll have some really good production at RB.

As far as preseason rankings go, you're probably right.

Def excited about the potential of Mathers and Walton in our backfield. They will both be getting their share of carries this fall due to our lack of depth at RB.

The holes we have at RB are a direct correlate of Nutt and the clusterfrick he created.

Rodney Scott - Former 4 star, would be a SR this year, - gone

Tig Barksdale - His story is known. Nutt wasted all kinds of resources on him instead of going after non-thugs/idiots.

Tim Simon - Oh what could have been. Kid was tearing it up in august practice before the 2009 season. Was big but very quick and had great vision. But Nutt felt like it was a good idea to put one of our future stars at RB on the punt team and his knee literally exploded on that shitty evening in Columbia, SC in 2009.

In all seriousness.....is there a worse espn blogger than edward aschoff? Didn't bother reading these rankings after I saw his expert analysis of the SEC qb situation and said Georgia was better than us.

Nutt also had Bolden on the punt team last year after he had broken his ankle.
