If UGA starts 0-2 they won't recover and will end the season with more losses.

I don't think MSU is being overlooked. Georgia at home, should absolutely feel good about their chances of beating MSU. That's just life.
Especially when you return the best QB in the conference.

You're wrong.

Everyone needs to hope and pray that uga beats Boise. Nothing good will come from uga losing this game.

I think UGA is still on the hook for the buyout of the last coach's contract...That with Richt's current contract, i don't see him getting fired even if this is a bad season. I think they have him play out his contract.

He has a $7 million buyout. We have the cash to buy him out but I unfortunately think we get another year of him

I am by no means saying UGA cannot afford a buyout at all. The school definitely has the cash. I'm just saying that some bean counters won't like the idea of having paid off Goff's contract a couple of years ago, still on with Donnan's and adding Richt to it might make some feel a little uncomfortable.

Georgia fans in particular, what is Marks status right now?
Half the fanbase is bird head biting off, sand pounding furious with him and wants him shitcanned retroactively back to 2005. A quarter of the fanbase believes everything is okay and Corch Richt is the greatest thing since sliced bread. 24 more percent are worried about how they're going to tailgate in the Dome parking lot and what kind of cutesy potato dish to serve for the Boise State game.
And the remaining 1% (composed mostly of the people who actually donate money to the AA and most of the higher ups) thinks Richt has done a good, steady job overall (2 SECC's and a solid win % bear this) but recognizes there is a real need for him to shite or get off the pot.
Real soon.

What does he have to do this year, at the bare minimum, to keep his job?
Avoid an all out meltdown.
Barring a 4 - 8 season, Richt will be head coach in 2012. To keep his seat from being absolutely blazing hot, he probably needs to win 9 games in the regular season with one of those being Florida. Should he lose to Florida, or God forbid Tech, he better win the SEC-East.
At least.
But he'll be at UGA (unless he resigns) in '12 barring an all out catastrophe.

Debatable, not saying State is better, just would make a good argument.

Dude that was 5 years ago. You really can't compare the 2 situations. Outside of the 2 cupcakes we play, who on our schedule is Ole Miss better than? Vandy is one option..who else?
I said they are one of the worst teams on our schedule..and they are. I didn't say we'd win by 70.

I think the people you describe as your 1% make up far more than 1% of the fanbase.

Disagree. 6 wins will do him in and I wouldn't be surprised if 7-5 did as well.

Murray was in his 4th game ever. I don't see any reason why he won't improve if even slightly.
Relf was starting his 4th game ever.

Our defense was in it's 4th game in a new system. Do you realize how hard it is to transition to a 3-4 in year 1? With a whole season and 2 offseasons under it now our defense should be much better.
OUr defense wias in it's 4th game in a new system. Diaz and Wilson were Co-DQ. Whith a whole season and 2 offseasons, our defense should be better.

We didn't even have a NG last year to play in the 3-4. This year we got one of the best JUCOs in the country at the position.
We didn't have a experienced RB to play in a very run oriented system. This year, we have experience returning in the running game.

Diaz was a great DC for you. I don't care who you brought in or who schooled him, it's still going to be a learning adjustment for a new DC, especially going to Athens early on in the season.
You still lost to us last year, to say this years game is not a toss up would be a mistake.

6 - 6 might.
Might.

7-5 will. 8-4 will not alone, other factors will have to be involved.
