He's 11-12 thus far (including the interim period) and has only been official HC for one year.
Does he get another year even if he doesn't beat MSU as hes gotten conference wins during a ban on post season play?

"He's one of us" coaches get an auto bonus of 1 year.

Luke has done a great job at Ole Miss, and he's a true red-and-blue legacy. He got robbed of a conference win last night and deserves a pass for that. Ole Miss should extend him.

Why would they fire him. They are going to blow arse for at least two more years. Might as well ride it out then hire someone worth a shite.

I’d think he would get at least one season to coach where there is no bowl ban. But this is the same program that fired Cutcliffe for one bad season.

How do you fire a guy who took over during a sanction period?

They're lucky they have recruits and a coach

That dude looks like he belongs at ole miss. The haircut, white, fat, a little redneck, probably turns a little trashy after a few too many whiskeys

Nobody else wants to coach there until their punishment is over, then he will get fired.

No. He will get next year because of his boneheaded contract. He will have to fire Longo and McGriff, though.

He has lost 3 games this year that is directly attributed to his coaching decisions. Does anyone realize how close this terrible defensive team is from being 8-3 headed into the street fight with SNITCH U? The USCe, TAMU, and Vanderbilt games could have/should have been wins, with competent coaching. not elite coaching, mind you. simple competent coaching...Luke will resign, if he really loves Ole Miss.

No, I don't think so. If it's clear that his recruiting classes can't contribute and improve the team, then he'll be gone. Now, whether that'll happen or not, we'll see. He's been coaching with several liabilities and I'm not sure any coach would do too much better with this squad. They'll most likely give him one more year at least. If they run him off too quick, what talented coach would want the job?

Mike Leach, perhaps? he applied for the job once.
Lane Kiffin?
I'm sure I don't know, just thinking out loud.
