It took them 2OT to beat UT. UT, who gave up something like 7 turn-overs to atm. Really? You think they have a shot at beating LSU?

Absolutely. Especially with Orgeron as coach.

If it was played today, I'd pick Texas A&M to beat LSU.

Whatever dude.

I guarantee LSU doesn't give them 7 turn-overs to help them out.

Yes, how can I forget those offensive juggernauts?

Aren't you a gump?

Mental acuity isn't your strong suit, perhaps?

LSU allowed all of one touchdown in their two losses combined - both to currently ranked teams.

Wisconsin is BAD on offense.

LSU is good on defense, they're not great - yet.

Just because LSU hasn't played anyone you think is any good, doesn't mean that LSU isn't any good.

At one time it was with Ole Miss (50's and 60'). Before that it was with Tulane when they were relevant. Now I am hoping that the aTm game becomes a rivalry, but we won't know for decades if that develops. The Arkansas thing was something the SEC tried to make happen, but we have no shared history with Arkansas. They were a Southwest conference team and we were a Southeast conference team. We do have a long history of playing aTm though, so maybe that could work. Or maybe our natural rival, Ole Miss will become relevant again. Who knows? Doesn't matter to most of us. We would rather be without rival anyway.

Yet? I don't think they had 200 yards against Michigan.

I'm not quite sure what Michigan has to do with LSU's defense. LSU has never even played Michigan - ever.

If they had, I don't know how LSU's offensive yardage against Michigan would be any indication of how good-great LSU's defense is.

Your posts seem to lack any coherence.

I think most Ole Miss fans will tell you that LSU is more of a rival than Bama. We are a rival for Memphis not the other way around. In my opinion, Ole Miss' two true rivals are State and LSU. Always been that way.

Most LSU fans that are older or grew up in LSU family, will tell you that Ole Miss is LSU truest rival. The battle of the tiger-rag is dead. I would enjoy watching us play Tulane every year but it is hard for a rivalry to be heated when one side is door mate in a g-5

Newer LSU fans have a tendency to just hate whoever is at the top of the west/sec at any given moment. Besides the obvious, LSU-Auburn during the tubby years is the perfect example of this.

Older LSu fans considered ATM to be a glorified rent-a-win if you ask my dad what they thought of the aggies during the 70s/80s. Things have obviously changed and i could see that getting more and more tense, especially considering we both have large fanbases in Houston.

It's helping to show that Wisconsin's offense is not good and won't be good this year. Michigan was their last game. Keep up.

You're still not making sense. I said:

quote:

LSU is good on defense, they're not great - yet.

To which you replied:
quote:

That's a non-sequitur.

I'm not talking about Wisconsin's offense anyway, I'm talking about LSU's defense and how good it is.

It's good.

#7 in the nation in scoring defense good.

Yes, because they've played bad offenses.

You're going around in circles.

I already said just because a team hasn't been tested doesn't mean their not good.

And LSU's defense is good.

You're absolutely right. My buddy is a big LSU fan and his grandpa taught him from the get go...."go to hell Ole Miss." He'll even say that Ole Miss is LSU's biggest rival. I have heard from some old timers that A&M was a rival back in the day. I'm sure that was way before my time. Many LSU fans hate Bama for the simple fact of Saban in which I don't understand completely. I get he is coaching in the same division now, but it would have been completely different if he had left directly from LSU to Bama and that wasn't the case.

To expand on this, we love to beat LSU the most but hate to lose to State the most. We have not beaten Bama enough historically to apply. Memphis is a bothersome nat that for some reason has players like Diangelo Williams and Paxton Lynch on the roster that bite us when we stupidly schedule them.

We have a great rivalry with ole piss. Most games with UForfeit, Bama and Auburn are close and full of drama.

Why does UGA stuck so much in big games?

For sure. Memphis is just the annoying little brother. Living in Louisiana I enjoy beating LSU more than State, but I'm sure living in Mississippi is tough when we lose to State. I don't see Bama as a rival at all. Like you said, we haven't historically beaten them enough for it to be categorized as a "rivalry." A rivalry to me is when two teams take the field with some bad blood and you can throw the records out of the window. Ole Miss/LSU is a perfect example of throwing the records out because you just never know.
