Since Bama will be expecting LF does Miles/Cam call plenty of 1st down playaction passes?

just as long as they don't copy LSU's in the 2011 BCS title game.

Seems risky.

Bama has a pretty stout pass defense.

We'll need to pass but I don't think you'll see "plenty" of play action on 1st down.

Honestly they're probably completely identical of each other

LSU's offense this season is better in pretty much every single category with WR being a draw.

Speaking of I'm still butthurt Mett, Landry, Beckham, Wright, and Boone didn't go 2001 Rohan Davey on that Alabama secondary in 2013. One of Les and Cam's worst gameplans.

I'm sure there will be plenty of play action passes and quite a few offensive 'wrinkles' thrown in: i.e. Fleaflicker against Florida.

We all know that LSU will use the run to set up the rest of the offense.

I'm just glad we don't have a QB that will underhand lob the ball straight to the linebacker anymore.

I think Bama will be expecting Harris early actually

Last year there were a lot more 3 and 4 wideout sets for LSU. Jennings wasn't lighting it up prior to that game. So, not sure what we'll see this year.

The bigger focus is going to be getting LF in space. Also getting Malachi and Dural downfield matched up 1 on 1 with their corners. There's a great chance that Brandon hits 2 BIG throws because we're going to run early and often on 1st down and take our shots later on.

We didn't even have that many possessions in the 2nd half. Their offense leaned on us that whole time at that point.

This has to be a difficult game for Les to plan for. On one hand you really don't want to take the ball out of your best players hands.. but Alabama will be expecting it. I'd hate (LSU fans should like) to see LSU start running WR screens to Dupre and co. ala Amari Cooper last year.

I just remember being in the stands with the most hopeless feeling since the 2008 season that second half. I recall trying to get the running game going so badly, and then Strudawa's crew just kind of gave up in the 4th.

What gameplan? Scoring the first touchdown in the fourth quarter?

I'm surprised LSU hasn't passed the ball out of the backfield more often this season. Fournette and Guice are great at pass catching. I wouldn't be shocked to see a lot of high percentage throws like that to get them in the open and build some confidence for Harris. I'm also anticipating a lot of read option.

Watching the Tennessee game I was shocked how much Dobbs stayed in the pocket.

With this line, they're gonna do what they do. Ground and pound till forced to do otherwise. It's the best running attack we've ever had, no way will they not use that to the fullest. They'll open the passing up later in the game unless Bama just shuts them down. If they do shut down the run, then they're still going to have to keep the box stacked and Brandon's gonna go off on their arse.

I also expect Brandon to run. A lot. Bama hates that.

Fournette will draw Ala's defense in like a super wet/dry vac draws dust. The play action pass will be there for Harris literally on every down but mainly 1st or 2nd down.

Nope, LSU will run the ball first and foremost. Why get away from what got you to the party? LF was not stopped by Florida and he will get his yards. He needs to be effective enough to make Bama honor the play action pass. He needs to be effective enough to make bama want to put in that extra safety help for run support. If BH executes like he has, LSU can move the ball on Bama.
