I might be wrong but he may suffer a fate like Muschamp with growing pains. He will hitch his wagon to Eason and if that kid starts all 12 games this year....look for 6-6 or 7-5 year with the future brighter with the experience gained. It will depend on the dawgs patience....go 7-5, 8-4 then 8-4 again....the fans will get restless.

Richt had a charmed life...went 6-7 with a lot of talent and lasted about five or six more years. UGA fans are probably tired of "almost"...they wanna see championships won.

He will be nothing like Mushchump. Eason has enough talent around him that it doesn't matter if he is a freshman. He is going to make growin pains, granted, but losing 6 games?? Not a chance. I guarantee you that UGA wins no less than 9 games. Saying they will go 6-6 is absolutely absurd and then 8-4 the next 2 years is absurd.

It's the SEC East.

Out of curiosity....how has Arkansas done against the East the last 4-5 years? I mean....it's the east, so obviously Arkansas has overwhelmed the weak East, right?

He does seem to be recruiting really well, if he keep it up like this for 2 or 3 years I may change my mind.

He's been here less than a month. Most of the kids committed, committed to Richt. Kirby has opened a couple of doors, but you can't lay blame or praise on him for this class. Let's give him a year or two before we praise or crucify him too much.

I love how the other 6 teams in the West love to ride Alabama.

I don't understand how saying the West is tougher than the East means anyone is riding Bama. It is just true.

Right now, sure. But it's definitely not because of Arkansas.

This is true. Richt was blessed by the schedule gods in 2011 and 2012. Only reason he wasn't fired at that time.

Jeez....you are guaranteeing 9 wins with a rookie HC and True frosh QB? Not saying it won't happen, but 7-8 wins is the more likely scenario and it wouldn't be a bad thing. I agree I don't see 6 losses.

8 is where I'd put my money.

Unlikely imo, I think Richt actually did a pretty amazing job to hold the '15 team together and get 9 wins, considering the lack of talent at QB, and all the decisiveness within the coaching staff. To say that Smart is a better recruiter is a ridiculous statement at this time.

Richt barely beating 4 crap teams with bad qbs to end the year isn't as special as you want to believe and he was personally responsible for the divided coaching staff. All one has to do is look at our growing 2017 class to see the improvement in recruiitng at Uga.

UGA's academic standards have precluded some of the players who've chosen lesser schools in the past. But Kirby's personality and work ethic should make up for that handicap. I think he'll be much more successful than his predecessors.

We will find out in 2017 and 2018 if he has the potential to be, those teams will be as talented and experienced, if not even moreso than 2002-2005, 2007-2008, and 2012. Which were the other best national championship windows for Georgia from 2000-on.

The 2016 season will be more of what has mostly happened in the 00s-10s, but after that, another national championship window will open in 2017-2019.

You think Uga will have a bad d and a bad qb, and he will get fired?
