It is said that hate and love are essentially the same emotion....

I think if you don't have some form of rival to hate you just begin to hate yourself

We have multiple rivals, UGA (DSOR) and Alabama (IB).

Love the UGA rivalry, the Bama rivalry gets out of hand by a few (Harvey and his clones), but I also believe it has helped make us stronger.

5 straight BCSNC apperances with a chance of winning 5 NC would support that. (6 in a row and Tubbs helped push Bama to give up control to Nick Saban)....

How does that limit your OOC Schedule? You have a home and home with Clemson, who had better OOC game than that this year in the SEC thats not a rival. The majority of the big boy OOC games are the 1st game of the season and the others are filler unless you have an OOC rival.Or are you saying because GT is OOC, Georgia's doesn't try to get better OOC games often.

It doesn't really limit us right now. If the conference goes to a 9 game schedule, we're pretty much SOL on scheduling flexibility.

The payoff is that it's one of the aspects of college football that sustains interest in the game. I don't actually hate Auburn and their fans even though they are the luckiest team in college football.
