That's why he wants to play "normal, American football".

That phrase doesn't invalidate his stance on player safety. His idea of normal football doesn't include the HUNH, so saying normal football doesn't suddenly make it a preference issue as opposed to a player safety issue.

I think we beat the shite out of two teams: Vandy and Arkansas.

I've said 7-8 wins too

Ole Miss loses to Vandy and doesn't beat the shite out of any team. Ole Miss isn't that good and has a poor QB.

It reveals his true motivation. Normal American Football doesn't sell to the rules committee like player safety though.

Unfortunately for him, injuries will still continue as they did before HUNH offense came about so its a futile effort.

This is like tee ball.

Bielema was on the rules committee that implemented the new kicking rules for the past few years, and we've already seen a major reduction in the number of injuries on kickoffs. Are you saying a marked improvement is a futile effort?

Well, playing flag football would also result in a marked improvement on reduced injuries. Injuries are part of the game. There is no scientific correlation between HUNH and increased injuries based on the evidence publicly available. This is not a player safety issue.

We are not talking about the kick off rules change. But the rule he assisted in putting into place was a good thing to have. There was a direct correlation between the new rule and lower injury totals.

We are talking about changing the rules to remove a style of offense buecause it will "prevent injuries". It is a futile effort because all offenses can and do cause injuries...football is a contact sport. There are better ways to "prevent injuries".

This is the kind of cynicism I was talking about. You truly believe Bielema is lying to the NCAA to change the rules of college football just because he doesn't like fast offenses?

Are you people fricking serious with this shite? Good god I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

4-1 actually. Illinois, Northern Iowa,
If Illinois & UNI are now claimed to run the HUNH, then Wisconsin does too.

Illi 66 plays per game
UNI 63 plays per game
Wisky 66 plays per game

2Bs has no problems with the spread offense, his team will line up 5 wide at times this year as well.

This is the same guy who bashed the SEC and it's "integrity" in 2012, and took a job coaching in the SEC less than a year later.

I believe he is lobbying for rules changes that he believes are advantageous to him.

You really think there is a correlation between HUNH and player safety such that the rules of the game should be altered?

Although maybe I am giving him too much credit. Maybe he is just dumb.

Considering you and HawgAlude are the dumbest of the Arkansas posters I scoff at your assertion.

It's laughable that some of you Auburn fans think Bielema is concerned with Gus the Pius', hide a midget behind the offensive line, Mickey Mouse offense.

Ole Gus can't outcoach many so he has to resort to tricks, gimmickry, and football's equivalent to a pitcher quick pitching a batter. It's going to be funny to watch when his HUNHAP (hurry up, no huddle, and punt) Mickey Mouse offense no longer has the "quick pitch" advantage.

Even after yesterday's extensive discussion about this topic - there are STILL folks that can't understand the difference between spread offense and the HUNH/fast-paced offense.

Funny isn't it Dale?

Thinking Spread offenses = HUNH makes you the smartest in the room.

You can use the HUNH philosophy running the wishbone.

2/10 way too obvious and you should have only used Mickey Mouse once.
