haha - now that is a whole lot of fluff for an industrial port city with objectively horrible traffic conditions and public schools so bad most middle class families disperse to surrounding communities in other parishes. But they happen to have a college campus so that's cool.

I've seen much better A-Day pics. There isn't a morbidly obese person in the picture - i almost don't think it is real.

This isn't even right. At the very least, shouldn't your very first point be actually true?

Wow! Municipal parks. Golf courses. Restaurants and museums. No other city in America can boast those things! And you didn't even mention all the public utilities and sidewalks!

Standard French (including Québécois and Cajun) spelling conventions would require the word to be written "gueaux", in order to make the initial G-sound hard.
Why would you make it plural?

Red Stick is the English derivation of the French.
Just because you wasted time and effort typing it doesn't make it so.
Oh, and, STEDB

quote:do you really not know the expression 'the tide is rolling in/out'. It is probably the most common phrase used in the English language to describe the inexorable motions of the tide. And since you probably don't know 'inexorable' either, it means unstoppable.
I mean, what does "roll tide" even mean

This.
Also, if we are arguing really about how something doesn't make sense, its "Tiger Bait". If I'm "Tiger Bait" it means I am going to catch a Tiger. 5 times in a row, in fact.
