It looks like the forecast is improving at the % chance of rain is down to 15% for 7:00. If it can be kept covered up until 4:00, it looks like they will be able to play on a dry field which would be awesome.

Mentioned this in here a couple of days ago, but here you go:

Article from 2009

quote:

Saban said he didn't have any contact with grounds crew members, but added, "I raised a lot of hell because we didn't have a tarp.

quote:

"I guess I need to go back and apologize to all those people I raised hell with about not having a tarp," Saban concluded.

Shocking!!

Go check the hourly forecast. You do realize that there are 24 hours in a day?

Spann's Bama game update this AM:

quote:

The biggest college game in the nation is tomorrow night when LSU takes on Alabama at Bryant-Denny Stadium (7:00p CT kickoff). A good chance of rain during the game, especially during the first half. Lightning is not likely with a cool, stable airmass in place. Temperatures will fall into the 50s during the game.

The tarp only covers Alabama's half of the field, but don't worry. We don't expect LSU to cross on to Alabama's side.....again.

Good find. I hope it holds up well. Good thing BDS is grass and not turf. This was Southern Miss's turf field in 2012

vs LSU's grass field which held up surprisingly well during the same storm

Just more proof that grass>>>>turf
