it will come down to QB play... offensively, the other pieces are there for great production -- WR, TE, RB, and the OL will be better. Kiffin will probably improve production as well, but we'll see.
defense has some questions, but it's still gonna be top 10 statistically by season's end.

I think Alabama will have a rebuilding year which is still better than most teams (8-4 or 9-3) but will be back in 2015 and it will be intense as balls
Respectfully disagree with a 8 or 9 wins season. Our running game alone will give us at least 10 wins and may look like the 08 Bama team. Look at our schedule and tell me which four teams can beat us. We may not be as good as Auburn next year but we are gonna be a very good football team.

Couple of things that TiM didn't mention or had incorrect.
Malzahn has stated he expects Young to stay at RT and Miller/Coleman to battle for LT.
Young not Miller has taken the most snaps at tackle out of the group.

for his career, miller has more starts and snaps than Young.

Biggest loss on offense is Mason
And Robinson. Yes we will have a competent replacement, but he will be missed. We will also have some good replacements for Mason, but agree he will be missed. However, I don't see our running capabilities dropping too much with CAP, Barber, and Grant available.
The key to our OLine will be having Dismukes back at center. He will bring great leadership as a 4th year starter. We will have our biggest improvement at WR and I am sure Nick will have had time to make improvements with his passing game.
Our defense is where we will most likely see our biggest improvements at LB and a little worried about the DB's, but we have some talented players coming in, but still some inexperience.

I'll provide a little more than a gif.

Reese Dismukes isn't flashy, but the center is one of the biggest reasons the Tigers are playing in the national championship game. "He’s an extension of his coaches; he demands that the other offensive players practice at a high level, and that is what it takes," Malzahn said. "To have a championship-type team, you’ve got to have leaders that really raise the bar for the rest of their teammates."

A frickload. And maybe some JUCO depth as well added soon.
We signed the top Oline class in the country in 2011 with a couple of late "extra" commits in Diamond and Kozan (both 4 star guys).
We are loaded on the offensive line talent wise, but we could use a bit more actual game experience in case of injuries.

It Really Doesn't Matter who comes back....the Scheme is what it is and the SEC DC will solve the Riddle sooner than later.
