Does Arkansas remind anyone of last year's Vanderbilt team?

Yeah against the weakest National seed but still. Arkansas has very good hitting to go along with improved pitching and is playing very well at the right time.

not really, we need another year from most of these youngsters...
It would be awesome for our program though.
I just want the SEC to win it, us first of course...

We'll start to fizzle if our pitching depth gets challenged at all. 3-0 in the regional was the dream scenario. I think our front end is good but if we get put into a loser's bracket, I don't see us getting out of it unless our bats just erupt.

I'm thrilled we got this far. Never dreamed we could have a shot at Omaha.

Yes, Stone. I have learned a few things.
Objectively, I think it is unlikely that we win the NC. I don't think we are quite as good as last year's Vandy team( which has the OP's question)

Arky is crazy hot right now and will be a thorn in the side in Omaha (they roll again today). But VUs pitching staff last year was insane. 1 & 2 starters Fulmer and Buehler are gonna be top 15 picks on Monday. Hayden Stone (Tommy John surgery this year) was best freshmen reliever in the country. Ravenelle was a stud out of the pen. Tyler Beede was the #14 overall pick. 3 starters 3 top 15 draft picks, Brian Miller was a great guy out of the pen. I don't think we can repeat because we don't have that depth in the pen this season and Tyler Ferguson has largely been terrible.
Arky is hot but VU had the most talented staff in the country last season top to bottom and they all started throwing the ball well at the right time (well minus Beede).

Not at all. Two totally different teams....Vandy had tremendous pitching and defense. R-Kansas is good, but they aren't winning a national title.
