Every word. But I also sang for three semesters in the MSU Concert Choir and we ended every concert with "Maroon and White."

I found out our melody is actually a very common alma mater song.

Interesting. I looked it up and a shite load of schools and organizations use, based on a 19th century pop ballad. wiki

I do.

Football games are not the proper setting for alma maters. I mean, why not just break out singing them at a bar?

In my 4 years at Alabama, I think I only heard it 3 times.

You learn it the first week of classes as a Freshman at UT. Students and Alumni stand and sing it at halftime of every football game.

On a Hallowed Hill in Tennessee
Like a Beacon Shining Bright
The stately walls of Old UT
Rise glorious to the sight

So here's to you old Tennessee
Our Alma Mater True
We pledge in love and harmony
our loyalty to you.

Just wrote it from memory, and I learned it just under 30 years ago as a Freshman.

Wut?

Not legit.

No mention of butt chugging or lack of teef, or rocky top.

I wasn't in the marching band and I know every word of it.

Alabama, listen mother,
To our vows of love
To thyself and to each other
Faithful friends we'll prove

Chorus: Faithful, loyal, firm, and true
Heart bound to heart will beat
Year by year, the ages through,
Until in heaven we meet

College days are swiftly fleeting
Soon we'll leave thy halls
Ne'er to join another meeting
'Neath thy hallowed walls

Chorus again

So farewell dear alma mater
May thy name we pray
Be reverenced ever, pure and stainless
As it is today

Thanks for clearing that up - I thought it went...

Chorus: Faithful, loyal, firm, and true
We just beat the hell outta you.

No. I heard it once during orientation, my graduation, and my friend's graduation. They may have played it during the football homecoming game, but I don't pay attention to the halftime stuff.

Yes.

And isn't it just an 'alma mater', not an 'alma mater song'?

P.S. I still know my high school alma mater too.
