Andre Smith-6th overall Cincinatti Bengals

Drafted 6th overall in 2009 and didn't produce until 2012. That is piss poor ROI right there.

Hasn't given NO first round production.

These guys may not be "busts" but they sure as hell shouldn't have been first-rounders. Somebody in the front offices of these teams regrets these picks.

I can agree with that.

Smith started out poorly, but put in solid 2011 and 2012 seasons.

Too early to call Kirkpatrick a bust. He was injured most of last year.

Not because of his play, because Cincy thinks he's asking for a little too much money. Most experts agreed that he was the best RT in the league this past season, PFF rated him as such.

Even if one is the best right tackle in the league, that makes you, the 33rd most valuable tackle in the league.

That phrase is so contradicting

When you are paying that kind of money for players in the first round they are expecting immediate results. Not two years for return. If you go in the first round you are expected to come in and make immediate impact.

Would you give someone a few million dollars and let them hold onto it a few years before they start paying it back?

Not trying to start anything I feel like about half of all the first rounders picked are bust every year regardless of who they come from.

How is Dre a bust already?

I don't think anyone can truly call any of those guys to this point a bust unless they just quit. I was just judging from this point in all of their careers. His first season due to technique and injuries was not successful. I hope he goes on to be a pro bowler.

Maybe so, but certainly not worth taking in the first 32 picks. If we held a draft of all players today, when do you think the first right tackle would go?

Well just looking at last night draft, DJ Fluker, a right tackle was drafted 11th overall. But they said he could play RT, G, maybe even LT though, that was either Kiper or Gruden

its easier to get your players healthy when they stop playing in November. You guys im sure have the healthiest players around this time of year.

Bama board until which time an LSU fan wishes to (selectively) use the information to flame Alabama, when it will become a perfectly appropriate SECr topic.
