Barrett Jones cannot block him 1 on 1, that's pretty obvious. And McCarron isn't very mobile to evade pass rushers

chop blocking is a pretty common tactic for outmatched OL's
it's harder to consistently do on an end though, compared to a DT

I go to all our practices and happen to know our gameplan for Sonic Sam. Barrett is going to hold him on the very first play..I'm talking a blatantly obvious hold. Then Richardson is going to run full speed at Sonic and cut him, thus putting him out for the game. Jones just sucks too bad to go against the Sonic Sam Montgomery so we had to do something.

i wouldnt say jones sucks. i mean, yea, sam made him look silly, but he doesnt that to most tackles
