21 points in regulation says otherwise, and it was 13 points until late fourth quarter I don't care how much TOP Arky had, you should still be able to score more than that on them.

I'm telling you, you had to see the game. It was weird. We were ripping off huge chucks, and then we'd drop a TD pass or the RB would fall down on the way to a 3rd down conversion.

You're gonna have to throw it early and often and be very successful. This D is much better stopping the run than 2012 and '13 were. You need Allen to go for about 375 but if so yes, you can move the ball. A&M likes to get wide which is a problem for Bama but you've got to throw it well to beat them. Ole Miss was able to do that.

Not too mention your line is big and slow which is perfect for the run but terrible for the spread.

Bama D will be fine vs the RB running and vs the pass. If the QB gets yardage running, that is when Kirby loses his mind and starts to panic.

we will spread the field much better than both to open up the run game
I'm not sure that will work against this year's Alabama team.
Bama stops the run with their line for the most part. Reed, Robinson, Payne, and company are the brick wall that keeps anything from happening up the middle, so spreading the field will have less of an impact on their ability to stop the run than you might think.

We scored at will on Arkansas. We just didn't have many possessionsbecause we couldn't stop the run
I know a few teams on your schedule that run it pretty well.

Who? Bama?
Absolutely. If you can't stop the run, you will lose the time of possesion battle. Your spread can have some success against the Bama secondary, but not if you don't have the ball. Henry might have a big day.

Bama is superior in all that is football. They are the best thing to happen to earth since Jesus.
Texas A&M will have -348 yards on offense.

I'm guessing you haven't watched A&M play this season.

We'll see. You guys have a very talented QB and receivers. We appear to be MUCH better equipped to handle Spread teams this year. Much improved coverage in the secondary. The safeties are converted CBs and much better in coverage than last years safeties (yes, even Collins was a liability in coverage against Spread teams' passing).
We have MUCH better pass rushers, and some quicker smaller LBs that defend the pass better on obvious passing downs. You'll likely see a lot of Tim Williams (one of the best pass rushers Ive seen nationally this year) and Rashaun Evans on obvious passing situations. Sometimes Evans rushes, and sometimes we use him to spy the QB. He's incredibly fast for a LB.
Our DL does a VERY good job batting passes down at the LOS.
Should be a good matchup. If we can survive the first quarter (which Sumlin teams are usually incredible in) I feel good about our chances defensively. Offensively, we must play a lot better than the putrid performance against Arkansas. We were horrific in the 2nd and 3rd quarters.

A&M has to play near perfect and Bama has to "beat themselves"
I'm cool with that
Here's to Bama "beating themselves"...Cheers

Nope we'll be lucky to cross the 50. We suck and Bama are football gods who can do no wrong except when they play Ole Miss. Bama 143 A&M -28
