You are an idiot. There is no "reigning authority" in the sec as evidenced of the balance of power in the conference. Unless you are referring to Fla, LSU, Bamma, UGA and Auburn as the authority.

Face it, "lame kisser" is making your institution look like all you are drinking that "jack daniels".

he did it in the right way. when hired, at halftime of a basketball game, he said something to the effect of: "youll be proud of our players in the class room, on the field, and especially in ### days in ann arbor"

i like tressel, he did it the right way

Beautiful stadium with a beautiful setting, only problem seats are 4 inches wide.

Like the other guy said, Tressell guaranteed victory over Michigan in his first speech at OSU at a hoops game. Since then, every new slapdick on the block involved in any sort of rivalry has tried to copycat.

Florida owns Tennessee. He's talking out of his arse. There will be hell to pay in September. Meyer won't let up.

The original post was very entertaining. The delusion being experienced by desperate Tenn fans is quite comical. I hit a link in another post that took me to Volnation. There is a thread that is comparing Lane Kiffen and the last few days to Sun Tzu and "The Art of War". There is another thread titled "Tennesse is Relevant Again! It's like OJ's mother being proud of his fame. This is fricking hilarious

Gene Wojo put it best:

quote:

Some Tennessee fans might mistake Kiffin's knucklehead comments for strength, for assertiveness, for drawing a Rocky Top in the sand. But the truth is, Kiffin has done the near impossible: He has made Al Davis look as if he knows something Tennessee didn't.

Kiffin played to the crowd Thursday morning. He manipulated, and he did so dishonestly. Most of all, he casually and carelessly tried to damage the reputation of Florida's Meyer. Even the most loyal Tennessee fan understands the difference between a rivalry and a rip job.

The Vols' season officially opens Sept. 5 against Western Kentucky. But let's face it: Kiffin is already 0-1.

Here is a slogan the Vols can use:

"Bring back the Magic"

Kiffin is a douche if I ever saw a douche.

This guys is destined to be laughed at for decades.

Kiffin is bringing Bama, Gator, and LSU fans together against a common foe. He is going to be slaughtered.

I got this off the tennessee board and completely agree.
"It's not because Kiffin accused Meyer of a recruiting violation; as close as Meyer skates to the line, that has to happen all the time. It's because Kiffin committed an act of what used to be called lèse majesté. He insulted the throne. He did not show due deference to the reigning authority. That's why they're all so......offended. "How DARE you!"

This is a gauntlet thrown down. This is a coach saying, "I've reviewed the last 15 years of Tennessee's history with Florida, and it stops here." We were pretty freaking comfortable as a #2 behind Florida for a lot of years -- even won a national championship from that position -- but now here's a new coach saying that that's not good enough. We are going to stand you up and hit you in the mouth and fight you back.

That's why, of all the things that have transpired between UT and UF over the last few years, this has the Mullet Nation in the biggest anti-UT uproar I've ever seen. That's why all the Gator trolls were out today. Tennessee has a new coach, and apparently he doesn't know his proper place."

Try harder.

I can assure you that Meyer and the Gators can care less about the 2 years or less coach at UT.

I've been telling the people at work that very thing. I said he could have probably snuck in a few upsets this year, if not for his mouth.

He has put a target on UTK's back, and that is the LAST thing they need right now. If you are the new coach at a shitty program, you don't need to give your conference opponents bulletin board material before you've even evaluated your talent on the practice field.

I wouldn't even talk trash to Vandy at this point, were I Kiffin.

Does Fulmer agree with the first post of this thread?

I don't think so.
