Perhaps, but after having watched him play in person for over a season and a half, he is no where near the type of player he was thought to be.
His shot is inconsistent, he plays zero defense, and his ball handling is horrific. He has a long way to go before he gets NBA ready.

Johnny Jones will do that to ya.

Blakeney wouldnt of been drafted anywhere he went last year, he just wasn't as good as his 5-star ranking. Very good player but doesnt project well to the NBA as a 6'3 volume scoring guard
NBA projections have very little to do with coaching in college. Simmons was the #1 pick. Johnny has coached a handful of other 1st and 2nd round picks here as well.

Well, on the Louisville visit he got a hooker for the night. So LSU must had given something more. Just saying.

A blue blood would not take him. Would be over recruited so he should had stuck with his commitment with Rick Pitino.

Dude had offers from every blue blood and hometown Florida and decided to play for Johnny Jones Guy would've been a lotto pick at just about every other program but would be lucky to be drafted now When his team gets blown out by 30 tonight by his home state team, how badly do you think Blakeney will regret his choices?
Have you seen him play?
Last year you could call his play bad at best, this year isn't over but he still is not playing up to his ranking out of HS.

uhh...yea....how could he not at this point?

Possibly. Doesn't have to be a blue blood. A competent program with a competent coach would do.

He was a dumbass for coming back this year. Would been much better off trying his luck last year

That's true, but he is not talented enough to have done much better anywhere else. I hate saying that, but I've just never seen the raw talent he was supposed to have when he got here. And Johnny Jones is certainly no help.

Same as Gerald Willis regretting going to UF instead of LSU.
