i dont take it seriously if someone from outside of my program wins it but it is the definite award for best player of the year if a player from my program wins out. every single player from outside of my program who have won the award were overrated and relied on media biases to win

Ingram wasn't in the top 5 players on that team

That makes it even worse. They probably should just lump the Heisman Trophy in with the AP trophy and give it to the team MVP.

Yes. You're very clever. We get it. No one has ever made that comment before.

Mark Ingram fumbled away the 2009 Tennessee football game. If that is what heisman moments are then no thank you.

Jeremy hill's runs against South Carolina Texas a&m and ole miss last year should be heisman moments.

"With Sullivan at the helm, the Tigers averaged well over 34.4 points and 425.8 yards a game throughout his three-year tenure. Sullivan himself accounted for 73 touchdowns (18 running and 55 passing) to equal the all-time NCAA mark."

No

-McFadden 2006

He put the team on his back and showed what a heisman should look like.

1647 yards rushing, 14 rushing TDs, 149 yards receiving, 1 receiving TD, 263 kickoff return yards, 1 kickoff return TD, 69 yards passing, 3 passing TDs, QB rating 230.

He did this with a horrible qb and felix jones and peyton hillis sharing carries.

Few people start for 3 year..... 21Td to 13INT, so for every 3 TD he threw 2 picks

I do not take football seriously. The Heisman is entertainment.

I just watch. I do enjoy when AU wins, but still have to work and pay taxes win or lose.

I enjoy the good times, but I keep it in perspective. If AU wins every game for 10 years or loses every game for 10 years, my life will still be worth living.

Football is certainly a different game today than it was in 1971.

I visited the Heisman house display with my son and 2 LSU friends before AU LSU 2012. We were amazed at how many Heisman winners stats were unimpressive by today's standards.

For instance look up Billy Cannan's stats or Sullivan's. Those stats would not make all SEC second team today, but in the context of the time these men were great.

Interesting question - yes and no. No b/c it's a popularity contest and yes because you have players like Johnny Douchebag who are truly the most exciting player in the league.

I've always had an issue with players who win the Heisman with losses for the season, but it's hard to dispute that players like JFF/Mariota are able to change the game by himself. Guys like that are very rare and deserve the credit....even though he's a douche.

I know it's homer but ESPN got Woodson his heistman, he was a good player but Manning deserved it.
