Do you prefer to watch your team's big games on TV alone or with a group?

I care way too much about football, and especially Bama football, than a 60 something year old should and I don't want other people around. At some point I'll drop some f bombs, get mad, yell at the TV, etc. and I prefer privacy to do so. Likewise I like to celebrate when we do well. I have watched with groups where I felt I had to behave, and did not like it, but I have friends who have watch parties all the time. I also don't like watching with people who don't really care about it as much as I do and especially when they say something like "chill out, it's just a game".

What says the rant?

I enjoy watching the game with friends, but hate watching at parties where you have some random bitch walk in and ask “what’s the score?” as if it’s not plastered in the bottom of the screen, or some other dumb question.

High stakes tense games I like to watch with other people really into the game with minimal chit chatting about other things. If not rather do it alone.

I watch with a couple of close friends or family or by myself. Too many people fvks up the vibe and half the crowd isn’t into the game anyway. Just there for a party.

I only enjoy watching with people that truly care about the game. Everyone else is an annoyance.

I like watching with other LSU fans. I don't like watching with opposing fans, even friends of opposing teams, because then I have to behave.

Either or. Watching it with a group is a lot of fun if your winning.

+1. Watching a big game in person is great in that the strangers that are there are all in and it's like a big party when things are going well...but if I'm watching a big game on TV I can watch with my brother but I really don't even like watching with my 9 and 12 year old because, well, stuff falls out of our mouths I don't want the kids to hear and most of my friends' analysis is about as nuanced as the 9 year old's (who has an excuse because he's 9).

Also, I'm a Mizzou fan, so usually big games don't go well and I don't like to be pissed off in front of many people.

I hate watching it with those who don't care about/understand football, but still feel the need to comment and analyze every chance they get

Watched the Orange Bowl vs. Michigan with some of my SO's friends on NYE, and I had to get out of my mind high/drunk to escape their shitty commentary/reactions.

“Why don’t they just form a circle around the guy with the ball and run into the score zone?l

I prefer to watch it with friends at someone's house. I don't really enjoy watching a big game at a big bar with 50 tvs unless I happen to be in a different city for work or vacation.

I'll watch most games alone but I have a certain group of friends I'll watch with as well. Hard to focus and actually watch the game with groups of 10 or more. And the Iron Bowl is an even smaller group of select friends/family.

Alone. I did call and talk to my mother periodically during the game (I live in Central Florida, she lived in North Alabama) until she passed three years ago (God I miss that.)

In case you are wondering, I did that with my father and mother until my father passed 15 years ago.

RIP mom and dad.....

I watched both the 2011 regular season and national championship games with a mix of LSU and Bama friends. That was brutal.

With a close group of friends... Parties with a bunch of people having sidebar conversations about crap that doesn't pertain to the game annoys the shite out of me!!!!!!!!

Used to watch in a group when I had a group to watch, but I don’t really miss the group setting now that I’m all the way up here in Sooner country. Oftentimes my groups would either not care and would be distracting, or would be annoyingly pessimistic and whiny… so I don’t mind watching alone lol.
