Any given Saturday UGA could beat Texas, and any given Saturday Texas could beat UGA. Both programs have highly ranked, talented players and good coaching. It's just a matter of who executes and makes the fewest mistakes. Now if we played like 10 times in a row I'd take Texas to win 6 of those, but I'm a bit biased.
Fact of the matter is once you get to the upper echelon teams the talent gap is not large, and in some cases a wash, and there has never been more parity overall in CFB. Or at least not since I've been old enough to pay attention. With NIL and the transfer portal, nobody will likely match what Saban was able to do at Bama for more than a decade. The top teams will still be top teams for years to come, but the top dog that rules them all will change from year to year.

Georgia is better than texas.
If texas get’s past Washington, which is doubtful, Bama is going to fvck them up.

Anyone who knows anything about football knows that Georgia is better than Texas. ESPN was determined to have Texas be in the playoffs. So, they got in.

Nah, we match up significantly better against Bama than Washington. If we get by them, natty is on our home field.

I wouldn't say that...that was WAY early on and we see the strides Milroe has made since. Even then Bama was leading well into the 4th quarter. I guess Oklahoma is better than Texas by your metrics as well. Did they not prove it when they played Texas? Where are they in the mix?

Even impartial observers of that game admitted it was no fluke win..just straight up beat them in their own house.
Don't get me wrong, I have respect for Bama, and they have proven that news of their demise is a bit premature, but I'll be more than happy if my Longhorns face them once again. Revenge for 09 baby!

Funny how -- to a poster -- Aggies and Mizzou fans are the most steadfast in their conviction that Texas is not good football team.

People acting like Bama was playing game 2 and we were playing game 10 or some shite. It was our second game of the season as well.
And your "leading well into the 4th".... yall took a 3 point lead at the end of the 3rd quarter and held it for a whopping 1 minute. We regained and maintained/grew the lead for the last 14 minutes of the 4th quarter.

Our 1 loss was to a top 10 team by 3 points.
Oklahoma lost to Kansas, Oklahoma State, and Arizona.
Since when did conference championships determine the best team? Alabama beat us 2 years ago, and then we turned right back around and blew out Michigan and then beat Bama by double digits.
