It's all subjective and to each their own, but personally I thought that the Three Daves games sucked and always seemed insignificant. When your team played one too many Three Daves games in one season, it always meant that either your team sucked or your team wasn't really hitting on much that season.

I still associate the play-by-play Dave with the 7th or 8th most important SEC game of the weekend, kind of like the Jefferson Pilot or Raycom Game of the Week if you want to go way back.

The color commentator Dave, Big Dave, either had CTE real bad or was clinically retarded. The third Dave was okay I guess.

Yes. It was before incompetent moronic leadership ruined the SEC. Nothing wrong with turning on RayCom to watch your team thump Miss State, Vandy, Kentucky, Ole Miss. Those were good times.

Enjoy your downvote. You earned this one

There was nothing worse than having a home game on JP. It was always ripe for upset. Fans late and not into it, team comes out and play lethargic, announcers always on the side of the underdog. Of course, if you were not associated with the game, or were in fact the underdog, then it was great times.

Dave Neal is a GOAT play by play guy. The fact he gets stuck doing shitty SEC games each week is a travesty.

Hell no. They all sucked and are a memory of 11:00 start crap games. Now Ron Franklin is a guy I miss and the start of woke ESPN ruining sports.

^^^ Definitely agree that Ron Franklin was the best play by play announcer ESPN ever had by a mile. Ron Franklin, Keith Jackson and Brent Musburger are the three play by play announcers that make me nostalgic. Not crusty arse Jefferson Pilot Dave smh!

Jefferson Pilot was usually the 3rd or 4th best game of the day. Even up to 2009 when it ended. Great way to start a Saturday.

As a State fan in the 2000’s, the majority of our televised games were on JP. If they weren’t carrying it, most of the time nobody was. Including a lot of conference games, and in some years the Egg Bowl.

You learned to appreciate the Dave’s because that was pretty much all you got in terms of TV time.

Also helps that the majority of our big wins in that era were in that window. Arkansas in ‘98, Florida in ‘04, and all of our big wins in 2007 (Auburn, Kentucky, Bama, Egg Bowl).

I still get nostalgic about the original 11:30 game with Bob Neal and Tim Foley.

I'm sure most on here have no idea what I'm talking about.

When JP did a game there would be 2 hours of action and an hour of commercials. Now there’s about 100 minutes of action and about 170 minutes of commercials. JP was infinitely better
