I don't think so, but it depends what your definition of success is. Mine is 9+ wins annually, and I don't think Ed is trending in that direction.

One truth is unless F King is removed we do not have an ally to football. He believes the cash cow that is LSU football will keep flowing into the university whether we win or not. If Orgeron doesnt work out we will be in this hole until King is gone. As with most lifelong government employees.. hes doesnt understand how money works in a free market..

No, at least not the ones knowledgeable about football.
The hope is that he's simply "underwhelming" but still recruits well, à la Ron Zook at UF and set up the cupboard for the next guy.

Ed O will have a lot of success at losing. He'll have success at very little else.
He'll do about as well at LSU as he did at Ole Miss.

This has been my thought all along.
But what worked for Les is he is the ultimate politician. He could smooze with the best of them. Knew how to make you feel good when he finished talking to you. Not sure O can do that.

Held bama to 10 points. Shut them out for 3+ quarters. All offseason we heard LSU "D" will take a step back in '16. Takes time to learn a new system. Aranda doesn't have the players to run his 3-4 yet. Adjustment period. Expect improvements in '17.
If that's really the case look out for that tiger "D" in '17.

LSU "O" set team or individual records in five of the seven games Babe was the coach and that was with a TE coach calling the plays. Just wait till it's a real OC making the calls.
Think Jr is all ready a success as the head coach of LSU.
