While this incident is idiotic, it WAS the LSU fan that called the Bama fan. And it WAS the LSU couple that went to the Bama fan's residence.
I doubt that they were delivering a pot of gumbo.

I dont argue with complete strangers because I dont care what their opinion is. I dont argue with my Bama friends because i dont want to waste the time i have arguing, when i could be drinnking and having fun.

With my Aubie friends I NEVER initiate any shite talk...its always them trying to make some comment like "y'all got like 128 NC's right...yuk yuk...thats that Bama math for you" and I reply "It must suck to be an Auburn fan and seeing your best team ever go undefeated and not be taken seriously enough to get a shot at the NC, then watch LSU get in and win it with two losses...y'all are the Utah of the SEC, undefeated and untied but your biggest accomplishment is winning against Alabama"..

an AU friend of the family has an index finger to match AU's MNC's total in football.
(1/2 of an index finger was cut off doing carpentry work many moons ago.)

In all honesty, it's not that bad. I grew up not even 15 minutes away from Auburn and went to high school there, and have never had any major problems with any fans. Surprisingly enough, you'll meet a lot of people on campus that don't care for AU sports. The vast majority of my friends and family are AU fans and the only time any rival razz goes on is around the Iron Bowl. I'm not saying heated discussions never take place, but it's much easier to reach a mutual agreement when arguing with a friend about college football, than it is on the world wide web.
It's the rednecks (of both sides) who do all the trash talking and fighting. Prime examples are AU's I-Man, Charles from Reeltown, Tammy, and Cockfighter, and in UA's case, Shane from Center Point, Jim from T-Town, and John from Huntsville.
Of course, the gameday experience is much different. That's when the fans go all out to reveal their hatred for one another.
