Dylan Dismuke is listed as a Tackle for OU so I suppose that's not him the OP is referring to.

I doubt very seriously he kicked Pike off the team for one public intoxication arrest. That might have been the final straw, but that kid seemed like he had an attitude issue before he ever stepped foot on campus. I haven't heard of issues with Dismukes so I would see no reason to kick him off the team for this. In my opinion that would be way to harsh for the crime.

Oh, Pike had his share of issues, but regardless of that, he was kicked to the curb and the final straw was a PI. I'm not saying Chizik should kick Dismukes off the team, but some here are of the thought that he might still play next week.

If this is his first problem he might play, but my guess is he is out for two games. We suspended delo for missing too many curfews.

Blanket parties may be in need of an introduction to some members of the team.

Pike was kicked off the team? I thought his pa brought him back home after the arrest. Either way, what a crummy offseason for good judgment on the plains. Kids will be kids, but when did so many get so incredibly stupid.

I believe the official statement was that Pike was not "invited" to rejoin the team.

Pike was on a short leash from the start. It ran out. Reese won't be kicked off the team but I assure you he will sit. Chizik has not let anyone slide and he won't be the first.

This hurts 10x more than Pike

Been a bad month for Mr. Dismukes. First the McDonald's incident, and now this.

If the McDonald's incident is true then I would think Chizik would have no choice but to sit him. This would be strike two. Unless, of course, there were other incidents we are not aware of.

I forgot about that. If that really was true, then Dismukes has already been on Chizik's radar. I've met Dismukes before, seemed like a good kid, just a little dense.

Dismukes is a true sophmore. Pike was a true freshman. Where is the senior leadership??

1) We should've never signed Pike. Kid had tons of red flags in high school. Chiz screwed up on that one, and nothing will change my opinion on that.

2) What does senior leadership have to do with a kid deciding to make a dumb decision on a Friday night? For all we know, the seniors called a team meeting yesterday before leaving the football complex telling everybody to be smart and to be aware of their actions. That's all they can do. The seniors can't hold their hands as they leave the complex and tag along with them for the rest of the weekend.

At some point, the responsibility has to fall on the individual. Yes, they're college students, and they're going to do dumb things, but these athletes have seen enough examples of this kind of crap to be educated. It's up to the individual to make the right decision and not screw everything up for the rest of the team.
