Hello all.

Anyone think Direct TV will carry SEC network? I'm starting to doubt this. I really don't want to switch to Dish.....

That's because you're from Clemson and don't understand how businesses work.

DirecTV 'hopes to provide' SEC Network...

"We're in the middle of productive discussions with Disney over ESPN's new SEC Network and hope to be able to provide it as soon as we possibly can," the undated statement reads. "Both DirecTV and Disney understand and appreciate the unique bond between SEC teams and the communities they represent, many of which lack any professional teams. We are working cooperatively to ensure that everyone can still see their favorite SEC team play at the most reasonable value to all SEC fans and the rest of our customers throughout the Southeast."

The SEC Network, which launches on Aug. 14, does have agreements in place with Dish Network, AT&T U-Verse, Cox Communications and Google Fiber. That's around 27 million homes, and Comcast is reportedly close to a deal that would bump that up to 50 million. That's a huge number as compared to the Big Ten and Pac-12 Network launches.

The companies that will carry it are becoming increasingly bold too in marketing that fact. Dish Network is sponsoring two separate media parties at next week's SEC Media Days, promising free food and "beverages." Wonder what they want to chat about?

I read that. Seems like BS there putting out.

If this thing don't get hashed out soon people are gonna jump ship and go to dish.

Like you, I was reluctant to switch to Dish. Did it and glad I did.

Better service, better pricing, better equipment, SEC network and just as many programming options at DTV minus the NFL Sunday Ticket.

Do it and don't look back. I have a $50 credit for you if you decide to make the jump.

Agreed.. I've read that...

Directv customers can already receive some discounts right now by complaining to DTV. Call and voice your concerns over the lack of SECN & threaten to cancel your contract. They will offer $15-$25/month discount for a year and throw in NFL package for free.

taterhead alter gonna taterhead alter.

Why do the sheephumpers feel the need to insert themselves here with germans from time to time? FSU fans don't do it. Ga Tech fans don't do it.

The taterheads are so unhappy ... I just revel in their misery.

Fear the other thumb sheephumper. It's coming.

taterheads are experts at BS.

BTW *they're and *putting-out.

"Putting-out," as in what y'all demand of the young farm animals and your sisters up there in taterville.
