There have been many attempts to destroy Auburn by UA,T. Fortunately none have suceeded. Auburn has been underfunded by the state since it's existence. UA,T believes fears a level playing field. Always have and always will

Jedidiah Gump spearheaded the attempt no doubt, and I'm sure like most of his descendants we've come to know he didn't go to Bama or even know how to read.

So he was probably elected to the state legislature by proto gumps because he could throw a rock farther than his peers, or fathered more children by his sisters and aunts than his fellows.

I just made this up and I believe it.

They tried to convert A&M into a branch of t.u. When that failed, they tried to convert it into a mental hospital, which prompted Sullivan Ross to knock out the architect of that plan cold on the floor of the Texas Senate (or so the tale goes)

At least your argument is entertaining, and probably more believable than most of the crap the "little barners" come up with.

Jesus Christ. Literally the first thing that came to mind when I saw a post like this: will LSU still be posting about the missed 2009 Peterson pick in the year 2160?

Yes. Clemson-SC waged in-state political battles years before they ever met on the football field.
