But when it comes to football fandom, I don't care who chooses to root for my team or not. It's all good for my alma mater. The debate is kinda silly.
I have to agree with this. Anyone who wants to cheer on the Razorbacks, alumni or not, are more than welcome. It's one of the things that brings everyone in the State together.

Yup. Alabama Huntsville, go Chargers. It was that or Auburn and I wanted to get an actual education.

No, I graduated from Ole Miss. LSU has no pharmacy school. I have 90 hours from LSU and my father was a professor there for 40 years. My fan-ship started at a very young age.

It happens ("sidewalk fans") when you put a product on the field that's worth a shite.
Y'all don't have that problem in South Carolina?
I HATE this elitist line of questioning. Barners are always trotting it out. I guess you're in that position this year, with Clemson doing something special.

It's time for me to come clean. I never went to Vandy. I graduated from Tennessee Clown College. I apologize and will change the school affiliation under my name to reflect this.
Again, apologies to all.
Again, apologies to all.

My beef just comes when people who aren't alumni (or have a direct relation to one) try and talk trash.

A December grad? Objectively, I know that doesn't make you subhuman, but I can't help looking down on you, and I think I can speak for all of us who graduated during a normal time, like the spring. We just think December grads are weird and off-putting.

this is a pretty self deprecating troll if you think about it. if this is all true and you are spending your time posting on this internet message board, on threads you yourself admit are boring, that would maybe make you the single greatest underachieving human in history. you're averaging about 16 posts per day since account creation.

In a small southern state, I think it is difficult to not have at least one family member who at least attended the "big state school". There are 5 Ark graduates in my immediate family and 1 more who attended a couple of years but graduated somewhere else.
Of course there are still lots of families where people don't go to college at all. I don't begrudge those folks from rooting for whatever the hell team they want to. But yeah, trash talking another school, team, town, etc... A few years back at a bar, I had an OU t-shirt fan trash-talking Arkansas on Dickson, not 5 blocks from campus. Of course he had never attended college anywhere...

Well that's what happens when you change majors and add a minor.

Nope, not enough funds to cover costs. Left for USAF BMT 2 weeks after graduating in '99.

I don't think you need a piece of paper to tell you what football team to root for. My parents met at Ohio State while in grad school. I was born an Ohio State fan. Having the opportunity to go there was just a bonus for me.

Normally, I'd agree, but since you're a Buckeye fan, go to hell.

Our contempt for you is entirely irrational, so no rational explanations will pierce our thick skulls. Sorry.
