basically Tom Brady first started becoming a legend when AJ was still in High School

he's basically saying "I want to try and be one of my heroes"

Guy got a college education, married a sports illustrated swim suit model, and gets paid millions to hold a clipboard for a legit Super a Bowl contender. Seems like a winner to me.

Winning multiple college awards, being part of 3 National Championship teams, graduating with a Masters degree, being drafted in the NFL, marrying a model, and now a starting QB in the NFL..

Yea those are shitty standards to measure success.

Nothing wrong with those as accomplishments..

However..

Lets see where he is 40 years from now... where his kids and grandkids are and what kind of influence he had on their lives and others around him...

I am sure we all know people that have "accomplishments" in life that have failed in just about every other area..

Why am I surprised that I would have to explain that...

He's had a successful life so far. You sound like a bitter anonymous message board poster who would have won state if coach had put you in but it's ok because sports really aren't that important anyway.

He didn't compare himself, he compared the situation he is in. You know, being a backup and starter going down. Said excited for the opportunity. But please, keep hating on Alabama because you can't beat us on the field.

I know right...all he said was that is how Brady got his first break, the same situation.....

These idiots will skew anything just to hate on Bama.

Didn't call himself Tom Brady. Not even close moron.

Was asked about getting to play after an injury to the starter and he said this is how Tom Brady got his start.

I swear, people on here. Hear what you want.

I said when I heard this the LSU fans would take it this way. Yall work like clockwork. Saban ruined you for life. You're hatred is beyond anything comprehensible. LA has to be the most miserable state in America since Saban went to Bama.

Sure I do...

What I sound like to you has more to do with you than me..

But you filter it in what ever way makes you feel better.

No, and neither did you considering what was said was

quote:

McCarron replaced Andy Dalton in the Bengals’ 33–20 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, during which starting quarterback Andy Dalton left with an injured thumb.

McCarron said “Tom Brady was in the same situation” while talking to reporters after the game. Brady rose to prominence as the Patriots’ starter in 2001, filling in for an injured Drew Bledsoe.

I'm not the one taking issue with calling a guy with a successful life so far, successful. But hey, let's meet back in 40 years so you can try and validate your insecurities by measuring your life against AJs.

Man, you are really reaching here. My interpretation was that he's an optimistic QB that has confidence. What did you expect him to say? "I'm nervous as shite. I could very well shite my pants before every game. Without Dalton, we have no shot in the playoffs."

I heard the audio on the Dan Patrick show this morning on the way to work.

Dan and his crew laid into him pretty good. They were expecting him to be a bit more humble (esp considering they lost) and thought it was premature to mention himself in the same breath at Tom Brady at all. Can't say I disagree with DP.

Why is the girl on page 1 holding up 7 rings? AJ would have:
2009 - two rings, SEC and natty
2010 - nothing
2011 - one ring natty
2012 - two rings SEC and natty

correct?

He looks like he's dribbling a basketball instead of laying a stiff arm. Don't know what's up with that one leg high in the air either.
