You realize that Texas state laws allows Blinn students to transfer to any public school in the state after 2 years if they have a 2.5 GPA right?

This cannot be true, can it? Seriously. I've never heard this one.

UT Austin considers Austin Community College students with 3.5-plus as the minimum... I can't imagine this "2.5 from Blinn" shite being true. LINK

You will notice, too, that A&M takes ACC students with a 2.5. That's because you yahoos are trying your damndest to become a diploma mill so fat farts like aggressor can brag about having a larger enrollment than UT Austin (even though A&M counts Galveston, Quatar and the med science campus and the Fort Worth law school in its enrollment. It's all rigged, bitches, but that's what aggies do to make themselves feel better -- see the national and conference championships that appeared literally overnight). But that's another story.

Moreover, A&M and Blinn have a unique partnership. The only transfer partnership I'm aware of UT Austin having is with UT Arlington and UT San Antonio, which are not junior colleges.

quote:

The Texas A&M-Blinn TEAM (“Transfer Enrollment at A&M”) Program is a collaborative, co-enrollment partnership between a major university (Texas A&M) and a community college (Blinn College).

Participating students are initially admitted to Texas A&M University on a part-time basis, and may earn full admission by several methods. TEAM students are enrolled in one academic course at Texas A&M each semester, and the remainder of their courses at the Bryan Campus of Blinn College. Students who complete 45 Blinn credit hours and 15 A&M credit hours within a two-year period, while maintaining a 3.0 grade point average at each school, are automatically admitted to Texas A&M.

Yay BlinnTeam

Here's a pic of the bus. At least it's not a short bus.

The exponential growth of nationwide college and career readiness initiatives have prompted many institutions of higher education into bridging the gaps between high school and college with such partnerships as Blinn Team.
In actuality, multiple funding agencies that provide grants to Tier I research institutions often mandate said collaborations in their RFPs.
Look for the trend to increase, not decrease.
UT Austin and ACC Launch a Co-Enrollment Program for Incoming Freshmen

Sling all of the mud you want at Texas A&M for anything else under the sun, but trying to degrade the Blinn partnership is silly.

Yet they really got off pretty OK around here when you really look at it. The question is, why?

It may have changed by now, but one of my buddies went this route and got into Texas and later transferred to A&M to be with his girl.

I stand corrected about UT Austin forming an enrollment agreement with a community college. And it's 2.5, too.

But it's not with Blinn.

I wasn't trying to insult you or UTex.
I was merely setting the record straight.
I have no strong feelings for Blinn one way or another, just saying that these partnerships are going to increase.
A topic for another board/thread, though.
Carry on.

The Aggies were talking major shite early in the season and deserved what flak they got. Then they were just so bad you felt bad for their arrogant asses.

It wasn't that long ago that A&M was whipping the tigers and competing for national championships.
