I keep hearing fans so afraid of becoming the next Tennessee or Texas..
but how does LSU even remotely compare to either?
Saban won a national championship at LSU, then left.. Miles came in and won a national championship within 3 years..? LSU has already proven that the talent is good enough to withstand a new coaching regime.. Why on earth are people so afraid of becoming the next Tenn or Texas.. Most people don't even find Les that great of a coach and to win on talent. I am not saying I even agree with that, however, what exactly makes him so special and people so afraid of change? Is he a defensive guru? No. Is he an offensive guru? No. Is he a great game manager? I don't think so?
I'm baffled at why people are so afraid of change. Change of what? LSU lost 5 games last season. LSU is 2 and 4 in the past 6 bowl games.
LSU isn't even competitive in these losses any more.. and the wins seem incredibly challenging because of Miles' philosophy which is becoming taxing on the players.
Miles leaving now would leave the new regime with great players set up to make a NC run within 3 years yet again..
But carry on.. Keeping defending Miles, because you are secretly afraid LSU could be great. Miles did a great job keeping the program afloat, but that doesn't mean another coach wouldn't either given the talent RIGHT NOW.

They probably realize LSU football didn't start in 2000 and anything can happen.

Not a risk you wanna take.
Texas is frickin horrific right now, and we are just now starting to get respectable again after being shite since 08.

Continuing winning at your current rate for a couple more decades and then you'll have earned the right to compare LSU to Texas.

Doofus, the factor common to b2b LSU championships is Saban - Saban coach - Saban players. Saban isn't part of the Texas or Tennessee decline nor will he be the next LSU coach so the comparison is valid.

If you really think LSU is historically that much better than either of those schools I don't know hat to tell you
LSU basically got lucky and got Saban while he was on his way to Bama. That's it. LSU was absolute dog shite before that and they have slowly crept towards dog shite under Lester. Les is a shite coach and people have been telling you this for years. His defensive coaches have carried him though his entire career at LSU, period.
