I find it odd that a UGA football official knew of the crash before anyone else and made sure to be on the scene while police were investigating.

LINK

quote:

“He’s there to help out and protect players and affiliates of the program in ways that will be of assistance and will protect the program itself,” Harris said. “It may be very good for the players involved or the personnel involved, but it may not be good for the public and it may not be good for a clean and untainted investigation.”

Gantt’s involvement, which has not been previously reported, adds a wrinkle to the narrative surrounding the crash, which killed offensive lineman Devin Willock, 20, and recruiting analyst Chandler LeCroy, 24. A second member of the recruiting staff, 26-year-old Tory Bowles, suffered severe injuries. Another player, lineman Warren McClendon, 21, was treated at a hospital and released.

The crash occurred about 15 minutes after McClendon and Willock left a downtown Athens strip club with two women who strongly resembled Bowles and LeCroy. Their late-night socializing may have violated a university policy that forbids inappropriate contact between employees and student-athletes.

Interesting, to say the least.

I would hate for the strip club to be my final act before meeting my maker.

They’ve done a pretty bad job of it, if so.

Not that surprising, virtually every school has someone like this to get on top of it quickly. If it’s something that can be brushed aside they attempt to do so…obviously with this there was probably not much he can do(without a complicit PD) other than find out facts and report back to Kirby.

So the players left a strip club drunk with two UGA analysts, street raced and ended up in a multiple fatality wreck on the way home?

The SEC is a mess right now.

-Bama: cat 5 disaster
-AU: hired Hugh Freeze / booster drama
-A&M: locker room fights and Petrino headed to town
LSU: Wade scandal
UGA: see above
UT: Pruitt scandal
UF: bouncing NIL checks

Forever Gator is part of the coverup: withholding this link and thread.

It is a conspiracy.

You’ve been saying the same numbers for a couple of years. You should at least account for inflation.

UGA analysts

They were recruiting girls, they weren't analysts in any sort of coaching capacity for the game.

I agree that all University's probably have Handlers for things like this. But I also think it is fair to ask, in this situation as well as events at other Universities...

1. What were the names of all the University reps on scene? Were they given access to people, places, and things that the Press and the Public were not? If so, who, what, when, where, and why?
2. Who called the University reps and if there were texts, let's have copies of those? Did anyone in law enforcement or the DAs offices call University personnel and let's have those coms?
3. Who did the University reps call while on scene and within the next 24 hours? Need copies of those coms as well.
4. Were there other third-parties on scene and who did they call/text? Need those coms too.

1 - Why do you think it's fair to get this information? I can think of no similar scenario with celebrities or others who have "handlers" where this type of information is ever shared with anyone.

2 - Again... why should you get to see this? The police? Sure... but the public? I can't see why. Especially if a trial is going to happen as sharing it would bias potential jurors.

3 - Again... maybe the police, but definitely not the public. If I were a friend of someone in an accident and they called me to the scene, my call logs should not be shared with the public. That's just invasive as hell.

4 - Again... the police only, not the press.

The press and the public aren't entitled to any of that. The police are and things of note they find will come out in a trial, but the idea that ANY of the stuff you listed should be somehow shared with the public is ridiculous.

Law Enforcement investigation is NOT supposed to be shared publicly, for the very simple reason that the public are potential jurors and they need to come into a trial without already having information that isn't presented in the trial to predispose them to a verdict.

It can be shared (the parts that aren't private) after the fact to explain why the DA's might not prosecute someone, but never if they're still considering prosecution.

Not that this will matter to any of the idiots, but Gantt is the HMIC for off-field player stuff. He's Kirby Smart, but for off-field. He would be the first one Jalen would call after he witnessed the accident, maybe second to 911. Gantt's presence is not suspicious at all. In fact, it would be suspicious if he didn't show up. Yall are acting like Gantt was there when the cops showed up. In fact, it was a many-hours investigation with people on scene. Of course Gannt would have shown up at some point.

Your post title reads like Gantt showed up with some kind of Men In Black cover up team and trying to hide dead bodies and tow the vehicle and use the flashy thing to make the cops forget.

It's completely ridiculous.

How tf do you cover up an accident like this?
