If Shaq would have done this we would have gone down as the greatest NBA player ever. His point totals may have been unbreakable. Not to mention all the times he was taken out late for games because of the Hack A Shaq. Wilt Chamberlin actually shot his free throws underhanded when he scored 100. I think he went 28-31 on Free Throws that game. He then stopped doing it and became a shitty free throw shooter again. I know Ricky Berry had spoken to Shaq about shooting underhand and Shaq said he would rather shoot 50% overhand then 95% underhand. I really think if a college team made it mandatory to shoot like this you could have a whole team shooting 85% or better at the free throw line. Probably an extra 5 wins per year.
