Brian Jones didn't want him so Hill tried to sell him on being a LB. Walker wanted to play RB. Brian Jones is now the RB coach at a NAIA school.

Jones was a major factor in several good instate backs going elsewhere. The style of offense always got the blame but he didn't sell himself well.

They have hardly any quality in state prospects and lose most of their few 4 and 5 star guys to out of state programs.

This is simply just not true. At all.

While Arkansas may lose one here or there. The majority of the years, Arkansas gets the in state kids they want.

Mike Irwin had a public on air meltdown over a 17 year old kids secession. He is almost 70. Time to hang it up .

The Malik Monk situation is a little different. The Monk's spent a couple years milking the locals and committing recruiting infractions by trading on the kid's name and gaining favors for the family from local businesses.

Monk was telling Arkansas coaches he wanted to play at Arkansas, his brother kept pushing for business deals. Marcus sees Malik as his shot since he failed himself to become a pro baller. There was a request for impermissible benefits the morning Malik signed w/ Kentucky. Irwin and the sports guys know it because the Arkansas staff were livid a couple were around to overhear an argument, only Mike had the balls to go on the record. Marcus attempted to assault Mike at a basketball game and none of the other sports writers stuck up for Irwin.

Quite the pussy bunch we have in Arkansas, it's why they may be the worst collective bunch of sports media in the country.

This is a good post. And what makes all this worse, in my opinion, is that we had Clay Travis on local radio not too long ago talking about how Calipari pays players. Well now the official narrative coming out of the Arkansas media is that he is some internet troll and nothing more.

bullshite. We KNOW this happens. I know that journalism is basically dead in the new information age, but most of the Arkansas media personalities are like the worst of the worst. Just ridiculous.

That being said, I agree with the guy who says its time for Mike to hang it up. He does a good job of reporting what he thinks is important, but good god he is hard to listen to. I'm pretty sure when they have him on the radio shows someone just gives him a topic and lets him go while they go down to the bar and grab beers or something.

On and on and on and on...about whatever.

Arkansas thinks they can recruit Missouri,

We tend to stay out of Yankee territory

It helps that the recruits we capture from the South don't have to adjust because they're used to the culture. If we started recruiting the North we would have a host of problems that just aren't worth it

Scared of "northern" recruits? Why?

Is Arkansas scared of the recruits exposing Arkie for the sister marrying hogs that they all are?

So a coach with cancer was coaching a team of cancers?

Sounds like a Thursday night comedy on nbc.

Pretty sure we get to use this win

Pinkel's cancer and retirement during the fiasco with his team and the bullshite BLM protests was awfully convenient.

Who said anything about top instate kids. I'm talking about top kids that fans think are always coming but 99/100 were always going elsewhere. The melt is entertaining
