They're not. Just inconsistent. Plus, many of those negative plays have been gadget plays with WRs and Drake. Just weren't setting their blocks before a defender crashed in. In downhill running plays, they're damn good.

Some running backs can perform in big games, others fold

Here is to the former

Henry had 116 after. LF had somewhere between 21-30.
Look, lets break it down

Henry had 99 yards before contact. That means when contact was made he had a head of steam and was downfield. This is when a good running back isnt going to be arm tackled

LF had 1 mother fricking yard before contact(I still cant beleive this ) which means on almost every fricking carry he was hit behind the LOS with zero momentum

We tried to tell y'all how filthy our DL was and the majority of the responses we got were how good LSU's OL was and that the FB was finally healthy.

Can't say we didn't warn ya.

Seriously though, LSU people are going to be banging their heads against the wall when our offensive line comes out Saturday in Starkville and has 5 holds, 3 false starts, gets beat inside 4 times for negative plays.

He wasn't touched on his long run. I don't know how PFF got their numbers.

I knew it was good but I thought we would counter with wheel routes and stretch plays. Whoops

Our oline has irritated the shite out of me. Inconsistant as hell, penalty ridden bunch of guys that piss me off every week.

I'm pretty sure he slipped an arm tackle in the backfield on that run.

No positive though.

I dont want to start a "rivalry" thread but I think it is clear LSU is the team the players and coaches circle before the season. Maybe not the fans though

Yup. Just awful. My hope is they were just worn out, but it wouldn't shock me if they had another one of those efforts. Hopefully it comes against Charleston Southern.

Well, you Bama fans have Henry's balls slapping your chins because of his great performance in the biggest game of the year. Maybe y'all should start giving some credit to the line as well.

Almost half of his yards coming before contact is a pretty significant stat.

If your line plays lazy Miss St will make your run game up the middle non existent, as well as getting pressure up the middle. This may come off as sour grapes but the double bye week and media hype kills LSU vs Bama. We get the full monty and focus and other teams simply dont

Nah, just slightly ran into his own lineman. I don't know why they would count that. LF had no room to go anywhere, I'm not dawgin him.

If anyone even reached out and grabbed jersey for a second that's considered contact.

I highly doubt they'd overlook it on the only big run of the night.
