Says that if Michigan goes with an external candidate, Kelly is top of the list.

quote:

Kelly hit the jackpot when he went from Notre Dame to LSU. Think of Michigan having a bigger jackpot. Michigan obviously has the resources to attract Kelly after offering Harbaugh a reported $11.5 million per year. You shouldn't have to be reminded Kelly has been to a BCS Championship Game and College Football Playoff. He just got done coaching a Heisman Trophy winner in Jayden Daniels. LSU would be upset, but so what? We live in an age of job hopping.

Dilemma..

Try to win a Natty where the three prior HCs won one in just their third and fourth years in BR, including two hard heads in outdated Schembechler drone and the other..a Curly Howard clone Hummer salesman..

Or win a Natty where it took Harbaugh a decade to get Mich their first in a quarter century..and ages before even that one..

Decisions..decisions.

He has a really good contract at LSU, if Michigan wants to offer him more, then let him walk.

LSU doesn't need to give him some obscene Jimbo extension here just because his name has been brought up in connection with the Michigan opening.

Good thing Scott Woodward doesn't have a history of guaranteeing massive contracts

That's my point.

Woodward guaranteed Jimbo a massive payout and then Bjork extended it for no reason with 7 years remaining.

No need to do that here with 8 years left on the deal.

It doesn’t matter if it’s a better job or not which I don’t think it is. Mainly because they are facing a rebuilding year and expectations are high.

The fans and media don’t like Brian Kelly. It would be an extremely unpopular hire especially when you consider that Moore was interim for however, many games it was. They want him.

Funny coming from a fan who was just bragging about LSU overpaying for coaches.

So is Kelly a retard coach or a savant?

The board can’t have it both ways. Y'all figure it out, and let us know.

He is a mediocre coach. Doesn’t mean other schools don’t mistakenly over value him. LSU did hiring him from Notre Dame.

No chance in hell it’s a better job. But the environment, development and culture is much better than Michigan.

Although, Michigan has an excellent education, history and probably more wealth.

$11.5m is the going rate today. Nothing huge. It took Harbaugh a long time before he won the big one and he possibly cheated to get there.

LSU is by far a better program in the last 25 years.
